La Grange, CA...Time for a Spring wildflower tour, destination La Grange. The Odd Fellows of LaFayette Historical Lodge #65 remind you of our monthly breakfast, always on the second Sunday at the IOOF Hall in downtown La Grange. Sunday April 9th is the date this month. Breakfast hours are 8 to 11 am, we’re serving biscuits and gravy, sausage, ham & cheese omelets and
pancakes, a new addition to our menu. Complimentary coffee and orange juice round out the meal, all for $6. And we have new child breakfast prices: ages 7 to 12 are $3, 6 and under are free.

Start Smart ~ Teen Driver Safety Class

Sonora, CA...The California Highway Patrol is hosting the 'Start Smart,' free teen driver safety class on Thursday May 18th. The class is for current and prospective teenage drivers as well as their parents or guardians and will take place at the Tuolumne County Ambulance Center.

Jack Rescued From Mineshaft By Tuolumne County Search & Rescue Team

Columbia, CA...An alert hiker walking on a trail at Columbia College led to the rescue of a trapped dog. Last night just after 7 PM, the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office received a call from Columbia College Fire (Cal Fire) requesting assistance in rescuing a dog trapped approximately forty feet down in a vertical shaft. A citizen walking on the trail at the college campus had found the shaft and saw the dog trapped in the bottom. Tuolumne County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team was called out to evaluate the shaft for a rescue. Animal control responded to the scene and was able to identify the dog as Jack who was reported missing earlier in the day. Jack's family had been looking for him in the Columbia area since mid-morning and had posted flyers in Columbia and around the college after contacting animal control.

Mother Lode Jewish Community Passover Seder Second Night Celebration

Sonora, CA...Passover, an eight-day festival that celebrates the Jews exodus to freedom from slavery in ancient Egypt, is one of the most important holidays in the Jewish religion. This year it begins at sundown, Monday, April 10th. The Mother Lode Jewish Community (MLJC) will be holding their annual Passover Dinner and Seder on the second night, Tuesday, April 11 at 5 pm in Sonora. Rabbi Andra Greenwald will be leading the Seder. Everyone is welcome. Advance reservations and pre-payment are required.

Traffic Control On SR 49 From Hwy 120 To Hwy 108
