Sonora, CA...The Tuolumne County Democratic Club hosted Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom on Wednesday October 12th at the Opera Hall in Sonora. We were told by organizers that over 300 people attended. It was a packed house to hear his address. The Lt. Governor and former Mayor of San Francisco covered a wide range of topics. One point he brought up is the bifercation of our society into the "Haves" and the "Have Nots" and questioned if our society can survive and function if we stay on the current course. Early Morning Crash Takes Life of Sonora Man

Twain Harte, CA...Just after 1am this morning 26 year old Kyle Palmer was driving his 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee westbound on Little Fuller. Mr. Palmer lost control of his vehicle and it crossed the roadway and collided with a tree. The force of the impact rotated the Jeep and the rear of the Jeep impacted another tree before the vehicle came to a rest....

Groveland, CA...Two men a 35 year old Victor Mota of Turlock and his 45 year old passenger Mark McPhee of Stockton were both pronounced deceased at the scene. Notifications and positive identifications are still pending at this time. What is known is the just before 11pm last night a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound on Hwy 120 east of Hamilton Station Loop at a high rate of speed. The pickup failed to negotiate a right curve in the roadway. The Chevrolet traveled off the roadway where the driver attempted unsuccessfully to regain control...

Tuolumne County...Last night at around 10:00 pm, Dale Greenlee of Ukiah called the Sheriff’s Office to report his son Craig Greenlee 44 of Ukiah had gone to the Emigrant Wilderness on Oct. 2nd to go hiking and was due to return last night but has not been seen. Deputies located the missing hikers car at Crabtree Trailhead but were unable to locate Craig Greenelee. Search and Rescue began a ground search this morning in conjunction with a CHP helicopter. As of midnight there was 8 inches of snow on the ground in the area. So far the subject has not been located....Update...Man found safe and sound
