San Andreas, CA...We had the pleasure of seeing CHP's Rapid Apprehension of Impaired Drivers or RAID program in action. We stopped by the CHP Office in San Andreas on Saturday evening to see them in action. The local CHP office brought additional Officers, Motorcycle Units, Screening Equipment and even their own in house Phlebotomist from their air medical crew for blood draws. CHP Officer Jaimie Castillo and even some visiting officers from other areas were gracious enough to fill in some of the details for us....

As we understand, the negative vote taken today on the Trinitas Project was preliminary and you will be making the the final decision at a later date.
We appreciate that the Trinitas Issue has been extremely divisive and a heavy burden for public officials to endure. Perhaps we should be thankful that we are not owners of the property and had to endure their struggle and losses dealing with our land use planning process over many years.... |

Late Winter Storm System Rolls Through. Should be clear for the Weekend. ~By John Hamilton |
Posted by: thepinetree on 04/24/2009 07:40 AM

Angels Camp, CA...A late winter storm system is rolling through the area. Observers in Bear Valley have seen over 3" of fresh snow with more falling right now. It is too late to extend the ski season but it should help Bear Valley Snowmobile as their is still plenty of snow on the ground for snowmobile rentals. They are still renting snowmobiles in Bear Valley and at Spicer. This should also help late winter snow play and put a fresh coat of whitewash on the snow. In Angels Camp it should clear out tonight and remain clear with a projected high of 67 degrees for the Big Relay For Life event at Bret Harte. We have included...
