And the Score Is? Election Night in San Andreas!! ~By John Hamilton

Posted by: John_Hamilton on 06/06/2012 09:36 AM
San Andreas, CA...Election Nights have become almost a ritual for us over the last 7 years. ThePineTree.net endeavors to provide the fastest results for you as the numbers roll in precinct by precinct. The crowds are fewer now as many of you know the results will show up in close to real time online. There is still something about watching the numbers change as the precinct boxes return from across the county. This is real human drama in action. It takes guts and courage for the contestants to place themselves on the ballot. They become the product they are selling. Will missteps from their past doom their chances? Will old allies stick by them for one more election cycle? Can the new players on the field raise their name recognition high enough to give them a chance?....

Above...The final results just before 11pm. The Record's Dana Nichols & Candidate Mike Dell'Orto, Supervisor Tofanelli Checking results with CAO Boyce....more above.

The Demise of a Dream – The Trinitas Story~ by Golf Writer Bob Fagan

Posted by: John_Hamilton on 06/04/2012 05:19 PM
Burson, CA...Even the best dreams don’t always have happy endings, at least in the short term. In early May I received an unexpected call from my friend Mike Nemee. Nemee and his wife Michelle had truly created golf’s “Field of Dreams” in a pastoral setting about twenty minutes northeast of Stockton, California in a place called Calaveras County. The conversation was briefly solemn; the Nemee’s would be forced to close their highly acclaimed Trinitas Golf Club at the end of May. Nemee had invited me to join him and a few dozen other friends to play one last round and bid the whole property a sunset farewell....

Mike and Michelle Nemee take their last stroll up the 18th fairway at their beloved Trinitas Golf Club – a special place albeit a golf course and olive tree orchard in the foothills northeast of Stockton, California. This was truly “a field of dreams” that sadly closes a chapter, but not the story for this remarkable couple.
