(Updated) Early Morning Accident Takes Life Of Anna Carter Of Mountain Ranch. Valley Springs Man Arrested For Manslaughter |

| Mountain Ranch, CA....Early this morning at approximately 1:30am William T. Bolin, 20 of Valley Springs was driving a 1988 Toyota Pickup while intoxicated westbound on Swiss Ranch Road east of Miller Ranch Road at approximately 50 mph. Due to his intoxication he lost control of the Toyota and it overturned and collided with a wooden pole. None of the occupants were wearing their seatbelts. One passenger Anna Carter of Mountain Ranch sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. |

Angels Camp, CA....CAMPS Restaraunt was filled with a large section of the business community on January 27th. Local economic development guru Larry Cope delivered the Keynote on continuing to improve the economic climate here locally. Not only did CAMPs play host they also took home top honors as Business Of The Year. San Andreas, CA...Few people know that many baby and adult personal hygiene products marked as “flushable” or “disposable” can cause serious problems for sewage disposal systems. Blockages caused by these products can cost homeowners and public agencies thousands of dollars in repairs. The Calaveras County Water District is asking for the community’s help in keeping sewer lines clear. Toilet paper is designed to break down, so it can pass through pump stations and move easily through sewer lines. Many products marked as “flushable” and “disposable” do not break down and can cause clogs in pump stations and collection systems. While these products may be advertised as convenience items that can easily be disposed of in toilets, they should not be flushed...

Valley Springs, CA....On Monday, February 2nd, Margaret Carol Harmon, “Margie”, of Valley Springs passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in Sacramento after a brief battle with Leukemia. She was 70 years old. Margie was born in San Francisco on November 27, 1944 to Fredrick and Marion May, the 3rd of 5 daughters. After graduating from San Mateo High School in 1962, Margie fell in love and was married to Ronald Gerald Harmon in Carson City, Nevada on December 28, 1963. After having 3 children, they settled in Santa Rosa in 1979, where they lived for 20 years. She spent her time gardening and tending their 6 acre farm as she raised her children. They retired to Valley Springs in 1998, where Margie loved to play golf and joined numerous ladies groups, playing cards and having teas and socials with her wonderful community of friends....
