They were driving Northbound on Railroad Flat Road North of Buzzard Mine Road with Code 3 equipment operation. Murphys, CA....YeeHa was the signature chant this Saturday evening at the wonderful concert performance by Willie Nelson and Sara Evans. Sara's classic yet modern sounds matched perfectly with "living legend" sound of Willie Nelson. With the Ironstone Concert Series coming to a summer end, this was a show stopper and one of the most crowded concerts of the series......

San Andreas, CA....The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday, September 9th for their weekly meeting at 9am. Some of the agenda items being discussed will be a Public Hearing on the General Plan Update which was continued from 8/5/08 and 8/26/08; An ordinance to establish regulations for activities on Lake Tulloch Reservoir, continued from 8/12/08; A Resolution adopting Traffic Order and establishing traffic control devices for Murphys Grade Road, in Murphys, Bret Harte Drive in Murphys, Main Street in Murphys, Leary Court in Valley Springs; A Resolution Item establishing a Sheriffs Jail Improvement Designated Fund and more. Valley Springs, CA....The Veterans Memorial Hall in Valley Springs was the place to be movers & shakers in the County on Saturday Night. There was a good sized crowd for the Campaign kick-off Fundraiser and Dinner for District One Supervisor Candidate, Gary Tofanelli. The evening started with social hour at 5pm where there was a whole lot of mixin and minglin going on, followed by a yummy tri-tip and chicken dinner. One of the highlights of the evening was when former District One Candidate Kathy Mazzaferro publicly announced that she is endorsing Gary Tofanelli...

Rollover Accident Near Hogan Injures Stockton Youths

Valley Springs, CA...Four Stockton Youths were traveling Southbound on a dirt trail on Hogan Dam Reservoir. The driver made a left hand turn and due to uneveneness of the ground, the vehicle then rolled onto it's roof. One youth was taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital for minor injuries and another to Doctor's Hospital of Modesto for minor injuries. The full CHP is enclosed...
