Murphys, CA...Elizabeth Kindrick passed away in her sleep the morning of March 6th 2015 at the young age of 19. She was a mother, a daughter, a sister, a girlfriend, a cousin, and a friend. Elizabeth and her boyfriend were currently living together in Murphys, CA. Together they just had a gorgeous baby girl named Gabriella Duran. She is six weeks old. Some of the money will go to Gabriella. Liz was always thinking of how to make others happy and how she could bring a smile to someones face. She loved to draw and doodle. Elizabeth was a beautiful person who will be dearly missed by so many. We thank everyone in advance for their donations, kind words and love.

Valley Springs, CA...Angela Kay Lombardo passed away on March 17 in San Andreas. She was born on October 10th in Indiana. She was a homemaker and had lived the last 12 years in Valley Springs. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved sewing and spending time with her family. Services will be held on May 9, 2015 at 2pm at 8014 Lena Ave in West Hills, CA.... |

Mokelumne Hill, CA...Christian Mass will be held on Saturday 03/21/2015 at 10 AM at The Garamendi Family Ranch 5359 Hwy 49 Mokelmne Hill. Internment to Follow at The Mokelumne Hill Catholic Cemetery. Mary Jane McSorley Garamendi, matriarch of the Garamendi Family and lifelong resident of Calaveras County passed away on March 19, 2015 at home, on her ranch, in Chili Gulch near Mokelumne Hill, California at the age of nearly 94. Mary Jane would often say, “…I am a very lucky lady..” when she spoke of her many years of good health, her large and ever-growing family, and her proud gold country heritage. Mary Jane was a member of the “Greatest Generation”, a World War II Army spouse, who exemplified the virtues of family, community and service. She was born on March 21, 1921 at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley, California. She was the granddaughter of Irish-Italian immigrants. Her parents were Thomas and Kathryn Pitto McSorley. At the age of three, she suffered the loss of her mother and a newborn brother. She, and her sister Anne, were raised on the ranch by their devoted father. Mary Jane attended and graduated from Mokelumne Hill Elementary School, Calaveras High School (Class of 1938) and from the University of Nevada Reno (Class of 1942) with a teaching credential for elementary and high school education...

Twain Harte, CA...On 3/13/15, at approximately 1625 hours a 90 year old Twain Harte man was driving his 2004 Audi A4 eastbound on Hwy 108 and was stopped in the left turn lane onto Twain Harte Drive East. At the same time a 44 year old Pinecrest, CA. woman was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban westbound on Hwy 108 at approximately 45 miles per hour approaching the Audi's location. For an unknown reason the driver of the Audi decided to make a left hand turn, at slow speed, onto Twain Harte Drive East directly a short distance ahead of her vehicle, she applied her brakes, but was unable to stop her Suburban in time...

Angels Camp, CA...Adrian Ramorini passed away at age 65 on Tuesday March 3, 2015 in his home at Clovis, California surrounded by family and friends after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Adrian was born in Lodi ,California on November 26, 1949. He grew-up in Angels Camp ,California where he attended Mark Twain Elementary school. Following his graduation from Mark Twain he attended Bret Harte High School and graduated in 1968. Adrian was drafted into the United States Army on August 14, 1969. He served honorably in the United States Army and was deployed on a tour of duty to Chu Lai and surrounding areas in Vietnam. He received his honorable discharge in 1975. He lived his life as a dedicated patriot to the United States of America...

Murphys, CA...Michael "Grabber" Grabowski, a loving father, son, husband and friend, went home to God on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015. Devoted paramedic and firefighter for the Stanislaus Elite Hotshots crew, and spending his latter years working with the US dept. of Reclamation, Michael filled his life with his passion for the outdoors, and for helping his fellow man. He was a lover of music, an avid fisherman and will be remembered for his infectious smile and big hugs...

Angels Camp & Rail Road Flat, CA...Henry J. Sweeney, 82, died March 11, 2015 at his home in Angels Camp. He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, his wife Margaret, and his daughter Patricia Lynn Sweeney. Henry is survived by his wife Dodie Sweeney, son Michael Henry Sweeney, son-in-law Michael Lee Sweeney, and grandchildren Kelli and Tyler. Henry was born on September 24, 1932 in Brawley, Ca. From his early years Henry always enjoyed helping others. He found his true passion in pursuing the Lord's work and followed that passion In 1954 when Henry attended Multnomah School of the Bible in Portland, Oregon to work towards becoming a pastor and missionary for the Lord. Henry was a home missionary for the American Sunday School Union then a youth pastor in New Mexico. Henry was able to use the wonderful gifts he had been given through his work in the church and on the mission field to pursue his love of helping others through the Lord's work. Henry went on to pastor churches in Indian Hills, Co, San Luis Obispo, Ca, Victorville, Ca, and Rail Road Flat, Ca. Henry was always faithful to minister and stayed true to his faith in the Lord until the day of his death. He was a sweet, loving man who dedicated his life to God, his family, and friends...

Valley Springs, CA...Harold Murphy May 15, 1934 - March 1, 2015 went to his final rest in Valley Springs surrounded by his loving family after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Harold especially loved watching football and baseball games, he also enjoyed golfing with the La Contenta Seniors, RVing with the Calaveras Caravaner's or just hanging out with his family & friends. Harold will be missed by everyone he touched as he was always there to lend a helping hand, give advice or lend that special piece of equipment or tool....
