Colors at half mast at Stanford V A Palo Alto on Oct third 2010 the day of Karen Preston's passing , she was 63 . She is survived by her husband of 45 years Mike and two sons , Robert (Jennifer) Preston and Levi Preston . Two grand children Brieanna and Colin Preston . A brother Rick Tam and a niece Kari Tam and a nephew Kevin Tam. In 1989 a group of Bret Harte parents met to plan a graduation party for their students . The party was a success and wishing the program to continue Karen supported the formation of the non-profit Grad Night Foundation . Long time Fremont resident, Esther Margaret Aughinbaugh, died peacefully of natural causes at her home in Lindale, Texas on October 10, 2010 at the age of 94. Mrs. Aughinbaugh was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Aughinbaugh, and her son, Gary R. Aughinbaugh. She is survived by her son, David M. Aughinbaugh of Fremont, Ca. and her daughter, Joyce L. Wisdom of Lindale, Texas. She left behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren who all loved her dearly.....

Los Vegas, NV...Actor Tony Curtis passed away this morning from cardiac at his home in Las Vegas. Tony Curtis (June 3, 1925 – September 29, 2010) was an American film actor. He played a variety of roles, from light comedy, such as the musician on the run from gangsters in Some Like It Hot, to serious dramatic roles, such as an escaped convict in The Defiant Ones, which earned him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor. Mokelumne Hill, CA.... Rae Amorette Hansen of Mokelumne Hill, CA died Wednesday September 9, 2010 of natural causes. She was 93. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Howard in 1990 and her daughter Wendy in 2007. She was born in Santa Cruz, CA and during her childhood and the Great Depression years, moved with her mother to Burlingame, CA. to be near her sister and her husband. She attended Burlingame High School, where she was very popular and active in her school years and became a high school cheerleader.
