Local Resident, Debbie Bailey Passed Away on September 29th

Calaveras County, CA....Debbie Deanne Bailey passed away on Tuesday September 29th due to complications from prescribed medication. Debbie was born on October 8th, 1956. She was 52. Debbie both worked and participated with the Behavioral Health Department and NAMI in San Andreas. She loved the work she did and was passionate about the homeless. Debbie is survived by her son Daniel Bailey of North Carolina; Grandchildren, Kirsten and Jacob Hunt of Arnold; Alan Bailey of North Carolina; Mother Marilynn Hunt and Step Father George Hunt of Angels Camp; Sister Shelley Lambert of Angels Camp; Brothers Greg Davis of Arnold and Roy Davis of Clovis and many nieces and nephews.....

Pine Grove Resident, Christina Wise, 27, Lost Her Life This Morning in Tragic Vehicle Accident

Jackson, CA...We just received the official release from Amador CHP on this mornings tragic fatal accident that occurred on Ridge Road in Amador County. "This collision occurred in the intersection of Ridge Rd. and Climax Rd. Castaldi was driving an Intrepid traveling est on lower Ridge Rd. when he turned left onto upper Ridge Rd. directly into the path of Gregorius who was driving a 40k pound crane truck, traveling west on Climas Rd. approaching Ridge Rd. Gregorius broadsided Castaldi....CHP release is enclosed...

"Angels Camp, CA...On or around the 16th of Aug., Don suffered a fall at his residence in Angels Camp. He was rushed to a local hospital, but when it was determined that his brain was hemorrhaging, he was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Stockton. Two days later, on Aug. 18th, Don succumbed to what Peggy said was a combination of heart failure and brain damage.....

Arnold, CA....Brian Philip Pierce, of Arnold, passed away of Natural Causes on August 17th, 2009 at Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital. He was a 52 year old Teacher. "Brian loved baseball, fishing, adored music and was a guitarist. He was an exceptionally sweet man, handsome and brilliant. Brian was a totally loving and caring person, and will be greatly missed." Hs is survived by his mother, Lois Dalton of Arnold; Father, Jack Pierce of Tiburon and a sister, Blaire Pierce of Texas.....

Valley Springs, CA....Longtime resident, Lorraine E. Cook, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday August 13th, 2009 under the loving care of her children and hospice, after a long battle with cancer. Lorraine was born in Stockton, CA to Lawrence and Emma Martin. She graduated from Stockton High School in 1951 and married Clinton J. Cook in 1955. They were married 54 years before his death on March 1, 2009. Lorraine was employed as an accountant for GMAC until her retirement in 1987. The Cook's moved to Valley Springs from Stockton in 1976 to run Cook's Landing until their second retirement in 1993. Lorraine was....

Jenny Lind, CA....David (Dave) Stevenson, age 80, of Jenny Lind, passed away on August 10, 2009. He was born on July 30th 1929 in Stockton, CA. to Robert and Ore Stevenson. Dave and his family made Jenny Lind their home in the spring of 1962. He worked for American Forrest Products for 38 years, where a passion for woodworking was instilled. Dave was an active member of Campo Seco Oddfellows Lodge #66 for 40 years where he held many offices. In 1977-78 he was appointed Grand Guardian for the Oddfellows Grand Lodge of CA. In addition to these offices, Dave was an elected trustee to the Oddfellows-Rebekah Children's Home in Gilroy. He was also an active member of the Jenny :Lind Volunteer Fire Department and served two terms as commissioner....

Bear Valley, CA.....Wendy “Chris” Desrochers quietly ascended into heaven at her home surrounded by a loving family and the well wishes of her many friends. Chris was born in Seattle, Washington in 1954 to Russ and Betty Phillips. At age two she moved with her musician father and family to Hollywood, California and then to Las Vegas, Nevada eventually settling in Reno where she attended elementary school, junior high and was a spirited and accomplished student at Wooster High School. The family and Chris relocated to Sunnyvale, ....

Sonora, CA..."Dear Sonora Church Family, My father, Frank, died peacefully in his sleep early this morning at his home on Gibbs Drive. Betty and I along with mother were with him at the last. We had been singing hymns together in his room a short time before he passed. Dad was born in Covina, California and grew up in Sodaville and Sweet Home, Oregon. He attended Walla Walla College and was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist church while a student there. His convictions led him to take a religion major. Dad married Jean Kingsbury, who also lived in Sweet Home, on August 10, 1952.....

Born on February 08, 1924, in Chicago Ill. Marilyn passed away in her sleep July 28, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband George Albert Bane Lcdr. USN Ret in 2000. A graduate of Northern Illinois Teachers College with a BS in Biology, & she taught school during World War II. She and George met in biology 101. Seated alphabetically, she, Anderson and he being Bane. They married within 10 days of George’s return for the Pacific Theater, in November of 1945. ....

Stanislaus County, CA....A memorial service for Donald Mark Lichliter, a 27-year veteran with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is scheduled for Thursday, July 30, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1236 12th Street in Modesto. The service is open to the public. Lichliter was struck and killed by a car as he worked next to his Caltrans vehicle. ....
