Lois Garman 1953 - 2019. Celebration of Life on July 27th

Arnold, CA...On Thursday, July 4th, 2019, Lois Garman, loving wife and mother of 4 children, passed away peacefully at her home in Arnold, CA after a brave battle with brain cancer. She was 66 years old. Lois was born in Memphis Tennessee on June 7, 1953. She was the oldest of seven children. Her and her family eventually made their way to California where she lived for the rest of her days. Lois worked in the real estate business her entire life. She worked as an accomplished escrow officer for multiple companies. Lois’ last job was working for Placer Title in Arnold.

Arnold, CA...It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing of Richard Wayne Harrison. He died at home after a brief illness with loved ones by his side. Many people know of Wayne through his work as an Environmental Scientist at Calaveras Big Trees State Park, where he worked for over 35 years. He was one of the founders of the CA State Park’s prescribed burn program, and was instrumental in creating a robust fire program at Calaveras Big Trees State Park. He was passionate about using fire in the landscape to bring health to the forest and protect the Big Trees. His leadership and mentoring have guided many to careers in this profession.

Arnold, CA...It is with profound sadness that we share the news that Lisa Riggs passed away after a sudden illness. She is survived by her husband Joe, daughter Katelyn, son Zack and grandchildren Edan, Sachar and Joslyn. She also leaves her Ace family as well countless friends and family members. Sacramento, CA...Governor Gavin Newsom today issued the following statement regarding the death of Sacramento Police Department Officer Tara O’Sullivan: “Officer O’Sullivan represented the best of what we hope to be as human beings in her selfless service to the community and readiness to help those in need,” said Governor Newsom. “She knew the dangers of the job, yet chose to dedicate herself at such a young age to those values anyway. Today, Jennifer and I join the Sacramento community and all Californians in expressing our deep condolences, and stand in solidarity with Officer O’Sullivan’s family, fellow officers and those she served so honorably.”

Lake Tulloch Plane Crash Update...Plane Located in 110 Feet of Water & Recovery Underway

Copperopolis, CA June 16, 2019 at about 11:40 AM, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office received multiple reports of a plane crash near Poker Flat shoreline at Lake Tulloch. The plane was observed flying low over the lake when it was reportedly hit some high tension power lines and entered the water. The plane immediately became fully submerged before witnesses could get to the plane. The plane is described as a single engine yellow aircraft. The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office, Department Fish and Wildlife, Cal-Fire, Copperopolis Fire, and Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office responded and continued to search the area with negative results. Search efforts continued throughout the night.
