San Andreas, CA....Longtime San Andreas resident, Bryan Davis, passed away of Natural causes at Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital on May 4, 2009. He was only 43. He was a Handyman. "A native of Martinez, Bryan grew up in Oakley and Brentwood. He moved with his family to Valley Springs in 1985 and settled in San Andreas in 2000. He was loved by everyone he met and would give his shirt off his back if someone needed it. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews." Survivors include his wife Roxanna Davis; Father Gene Davis of Florida; Children Samantha Davis of Reno, NV, Joshua Peabody of Burson, CA, Christina Davis of Rancho Calaveras, Bryan Bo Davis of San Andreas, Brandy Davis of San Andreas; Sisters, Pamela Sieme and Lorraine Chaplain both of WA and Kathy Crutchfield of Stockton and three grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his child, James Davis....

Murphys, CA....Longtime Murphys Resident, Susan Rae Palmquist, age 53, passed away on April 25th, 2009, at her residence in Murphys. She was a Real Estate Broker for 20 years. She was a member of The Calaveras Association of Realtors. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, crocheting and snow skiing. She is survived by her mother, Gladys Canant of Capitola, CA: A brother, Bill Shevlin of Mesa, AZ; and sisters Penni Taketa of Lihue, HI, June Vehn of Clovis, CA and Patti Rice of Morgan Hill, CA. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday May 4th at 3pm at Angels Memorial Chapel in Angels Camp.....

Downie, MD announces his unexpected passing from this life to be with Christ on April 16, 2009, at the young age of 66. Dave is survived by his wife, Edna Cate Downie of Cupertino, CA; son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Amber Downie of Adrian, OR; daughter and son-in-law Shannon and Kelly Coan of Los Altos, CA and first wife, Kathie Lloyd of San Jose, CA. Valley Springs, CA...Mary "Nana" Truss, a resident of Valley Springs, passed away on April 20th, 2009 of Natural Causes at Sunrise Country Care Center. She was 95. " 'Nana', Mary Truss made her celestial departure on Monday, April 20th, 2009. She was born Mary Fiori in 1913 in New York and at the age of 9 moved to California with her father and five sisters. She spent most of her adult life in the Bay Area. She retired after 20 years as an Elevator Operator at the Sutter Medical Building in San Francisco. She then relocated to Livermore to be closer to her daughter and family and became a school crossing guard for another 20 years. All those who were lucky enough to have shared her life lovingly called her "Nana." Nana was easily recognized by her white Ford pick up with the ribbons on the antenna.....

Valley Springs, CA...Patricia Anne Hansen Nemee was born in Stockton on May 12, 1943. She passed away on April 19, 2009. Pat graduated from Stagg High School in 1961 and was Miss Stockton 1964. She graduated from the University of the Pacific with her undergraduate degree in Home Economics and later her Masters in Education. Pat and her husband, Steve, moved to Valley Springs in 2002. She dedicated her entire adult life to public school education. Pat taught for almost 40 years at both her alma mater, Stagg High School, and later at Franklin High School. During her tenure she taught home economics and English. Pat was the work experience coordinator, academic decathlon advisor, AVID program director, and a cheerleading and badminton coach....

He had many adventures in his life. After growing up in Garden Grove, CA, he served in the Army, spending time in Europe. After he was discharged from the Army, Steve found his true love, the Sierra Nevada Mountains. He worked on the Spicer Dam Project and worked for many years at the Mount Reba Ski Resort. He worked for the Vallecito Union School District since the mid 1990s in many different capacities.....

Mokelumne Hill, CA...32 Year Resident of Mokelumne Hill, Kenneth "KW" Link, passed away on April 11th, 2009 at his residence of Natural Causes. He was 83. Mr. Link was a Retired Heavy Equipment Mechanic. A native of Oklahoma, KW grew up there and moved to Tracy in 1946, the to West Point in 1950 and settled in Mokelumne Hill in 1977 and has lived there since. He was a member if the Masonic Lodge #56 of Volcano. KW loved gardening. He is survived by his wife, Reba Link; Children, Leroy Link of Reno, NV, Jim Link of Wilseyville, CA, Sharon Thibodeaux of Pioneer, CA and Ken Link of West Point; Brothers, Starless Link, Jr. of Wilseyville and Bob Link of Claremore, OK; A Sister Wilmuth Long of Colcord, OK; 9 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Sue Link.....

Valley Spring, CA.....29 year Valley Springs resident, Salvatore Samuel Amodeo, passed away on April 8th, 2009. He was 80 years old. He passed at Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital of Natural Causes. A native it Italy, Mr. Amodeo moved to Pittsburg, PA. in 1934, Lodi, CA. in 1944 and Stockton, CA. in 1952, then settled in Valley Springs in 1980. He worked for San Joaqin Paper Products for 30 years and was a past member of the Lyons Club and the Jesters Club. He also was a Little League coach for many years....

San Andreas, CA....Norma Lena Molfino Mueller, of San Andreas, passed away on April 7th, 2009 at Mark Twain St.Josephs Hospital. She would have celebrated her 100th Birthday on April 26th. She was born in 1909 in Amador County on the Molfino Ranch outside of Jackson. Her education began in a one room school built in land her grandparents donated. She graduated from Jackson High School and attended Western Business College in Sacramento....
