Arnold, CA...The Greater Arnold Business Association will be holding their bi-monthly mixer this Thursday, May 28th at Bristols Ranch House Café. Time is 5:30-7:00. There will be a brief (15 minute) presentation by the SBA on the American Recovery Act. Thank you for your support!

Arnold, CA...We are holding our first Pancake Breakfast fundraiser this year --- all you can eat eggs, ham and pancakes with juice and coffee. Come and join us at the Ebbetts Pass Gas parking lot on Saturday and Sunday this weekend and help Arnold Lions support their many community projects - and it's a great!

San Andreas, CA...We had the pleasure of seeing CHP's Rapid Apprehension of Impaired Drivers or RAID program in action. We stopped by the CHP Office in San Andreas on Saturday evening to see them in action. The local CHP office brought additional Officers, Motorcycle Units, Screening Equipment and even their own in house Phlebotomist from their air medical crew for blood draws. CHP Officer Jaimie Castillo and even some visiting officers from other areas were gracious enough to fill in some of the details for us....

Arnold, CA....In celebration of National Library Week, the Arnold Library held a Story Time for 2-6 year olds. Their guest reader was Chief Dave Baugher, Ebbetts Pass Fire District Station #1. After Story Time, the children were treated to a tour of the fire station.

As part of a long-term study that began in 1996-1997 in the southwestern Norwegian town of Stavanger, 23 children aged four to 11 — all suffering from hyperactive disorders including ADHD — were put on milk-free and/or gluten-free diets.
