Arnold, CA...Stop by the Calaveras Humane Society's Thrift Store Adoption Center in Arnold, located in Meadowmont Center next to Big Trees Market (Phone 209-795-GIVE). We'll be open THURS. - SAT., 10-5. We will have approximately 10 Cats & Kittens available to meet you. Our 2 featured cats this week are on special for a low two-for-one donation. So much love for so very little! We are also currently having a 'Summer Of Love' Special, in which the adoption donation for Adults & Junior Kittens over 4 months of age is $35, and all Kittens up to 4 months old are $50. We hope that you will join us in this "Summer Of Love."...

Arnold, CA...The fishing on the highway 4 corridor has been excellent. The campgrounds at Lake Alpine, Big Meadow, Sourgrass, Union Res, Spicer Res. and Mosquito Lakes are now open. You must obtain a fire permit for your campsite if you are not using an improved campsite. Make sure you purchase your license before heading up here as we are the only store to sell licenses from Arnold up as we do experience problems with our machine occasionally.....

Murphys, CA...Fall rec season begins in approximately 3 weeks and we still need as many as 20 - 25 coaches to ensure this fall season is another successful one. Please consider joining a great group of volunteers and support your local league by considering coaching youth soccer this year ! EPYSL is committed to supporting new coaches or returning coaches who want more practice plans, practice ideas, strategies, etc. EPYSL is also committed to educating coaches who want to become accredited. Please let us know if you are interested in attending a CYSA coaching accreditation course for free at one of our local fields.
The Big 31st Annual GABA Arnold Independence Parade 2012 Pictures

Arnold, CA... The Big 31st Annual GABA Arnold Independence Parade rolled down Hwy 4 on Saturday morning. It was another fun event in Arnold as thousands turned out and lined Hwy 4. It was a patriotic affair with the entire town red, white and blue. In what other place can you find Superman, Superwoman, Beauty Queens, Balloon Platoon and a Lawn Chair Drill Team? As usual we tried to take shot after shot just in case you wanted to catch a glimpse of you and yours and they were participating in the big event. For the last 6 years we had taken shots at the start of the parade. This year we thought we would head on down to Cedar Creek Realty and take our video and shots at closer to the end of the parade. Below are close to 200 photos and video will be posted later today.
