No Luck Yet In Search For Don Peterson 79 year Old Male Last Seen Near Arnold Rim Trail

Arnold, CA...(Update...We checked in the the Sheriff's Dept about 7:30am and still searching) We just left the search & rescue command post at the government yard in Arnold. A helicopter has been out with thermal imaging and they are still waiting for results to aid in their search. The numbers in the search teams are still climbing and mutual aid from surrounding counties should arrive in the morning if he has not been located by them. One tip for all of us when we are out in the woods is to always carry a lighter or matches. Not only can you build a warming fire to keep you warm but it will aid in search teams finding you. Missing Person: Don Peterson 79 year old male 511 175 last seen wearing red baseball cap white tshirt jeans. Last seen: The Arnold Rim Trail by logging museum. Missing person Don has a small dog tan and white terrier named Danny with him If you have information that can assist in helping safely locate Don Peterson please call 911 or contact the sheriff 209-754-6500. Sally and her husband David are successful documentary film makers. Sally first fell in love with Calaveras County when filming California Forever, a PBS special documenting California State Parks. Almost 6000 Customers Without Power In Arnold Area (Including Us)

Arnold, CA....PG&E is currently reporting almost 6000 customers without power in the Arnold area. There have been many isolated and intermittent outages since this storm system has arrived. PG&E is assessing the outage and a firm restoral time has not been released yet.

Angels Camp, CA...Stop by the Calaveras Humane Society's Thrift Store/Cat Adoption Center in Angels Camp, located in Angels Town Center at 240 S. Main St./Hwy 49, open Thurs/Fri, 10am–5pm, and Saturday, 11am–5pm. Channing will be there, along with a few other fabulous kitties who would love to meet you! Cat availability has decreased until kitten season, so our Arnold Adoption Center will be CLOSED this week. If you want to meet some kitties, Angels Camp is the place to be! The kitties hope to see you there!

Bear Valley, CA...Mostly cloudy today at lower elevations...a chance of rain. At higher elevations...a slight chance of rain in the morning... Then rain and snow likely in the afternoon. Windy. Highs 44 to 59 higher elevations...51 to 65 lower elevations. No snow accumulation lower elevations...up to 1 inch higher elevations. Snow level above 8000 feet decreasing to 7000 feet in the afternoon. Prevailing south winds 10 to 20 mph increasing to 15 to 30 mph in the afternoon. Gusts up to 50 mph. Over ridges... Prevailing southwest winds 25 to 35 mph shifting to the south 25 to 45 mph in the afternoon...
