It means everything, the whole thing, the full deal! And what that's what you'll get at our 5th Anniversary Birthday BBQ Bash on July 4th 2008. Ebbetts Pass Is now open! Lake Alpine is still producing some big rainbows. The dock is now in and the fishing is excellent. Make sure to call ahead as it does get very windy there. Trollers should try Apex, Needlefish, and Rapala's behind a small dodger. The Lodge will be open and they will be renting cabins. You can contact the lodge at 209-753-6358. Fly fishermen should try woolly buggers, flying ants, and sparrow nymphs. Bank fishermen should try nightcrawlers, Gulp Power Bait, Gulp Nightcrawlers, floating Power Eggs,and salmon eggs. Lure casters should try Kastmasters, Panther Martin spinners, and Rooster Tails...... |

Arnold, CA...Kris Fichtner, of the Arnold Library, will be reading a 30-min story at the Arnold library this summer each Wednesday afternoon at 2:30pm starting on June 11th. So if you are looking for a way to get out of the sun, or a way to occupy your kids for a few minutes while you choose some age appropriate reading material (yeah right, like you'll have time to finish a book right?!) or if your kids are longing for the social interaction school usually provides, come on down to the Arnold Library located at 1065 Blagen Road in Arnold.

ATCAA Wins Five County Technology Planning Grant...First Meeting on June 12th at Ironstone Vineyards |

The Amador Tuolumne Community Action Agency (ATCAA) has secured a $250,000 grant from the California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF) to help five rural Sierra counties improve high speed Internet access for all households and businesses. The one-year project, called ATCAA Central Sierra Connect, will launch with the first meeting of the project Advisory Council in the morning and a community forum at Ironstone Vineyards June 12 from 1-4 pm. The community is invited to come to learn about the project and how they can get involved in the one-year work plan......

Plan to Attend "Step Up To Bat For Matt", A Day of Fundraisers For Matthew McCullough This Sunday |

Arnold, CA.....The community has come together and organized three Fundraisers for Matthew McCullough and his family this Sunday June 8th. There will be a 5k Run or Walk being held in Arnold, A Poker Run starting in Farmington and ending in Arnold and the BBQ at Cedar Center in Arnold. Matthew McCullough is a very strong little boy who was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in February of this year. The doctors at Stanford have removed the tumor and now he is receiving 12 months of therapy. Please plan to attend this day for Matt. Full Flyers with Registration Forms enclosed on all three events taking place. "95 Masks", A look into A Child's Imagination....We Have Photos of All "95 Masks!" |

Murphys, CA....."95 Masks", an annual project of Teacher Mary Devany's art class at Avery Middle School. This class project is a wonderful way for the students to express themselves and possibly show others a glimpse of their inner identities. The Recpeption and showing of the masks started in Friday evening at the Art Gallery in Murphys and went through Sunday. Each year, the 6th graders from Avery Middle School get to work with Sharon Strong, owner of the Art Gallery in Murphys, making these beautiful masks expressing themselves and also writing a poem to go with each. They are then displayed at Murphys Art Gallery for three days for the community to enjoy. We stopped by on Friday for the Reception then again over the weekend to get a better look at each mask and what talent these kids have....
