Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 09/28/2010 10:46 AM

Fly fishermen should try bead head nymphs, parachute adams, female parachute adams, parachute blue dun, parachute light cahill, ants, woolly buggers, cripple calibaetis, stimulators, and caddis flies. Bait casters should try inflated nightcrawlers, salmon eggs, Gulp Power Eggs, and floating Power Eggs. Power Bait has just released their new scents for 2010. They now have salmon egg scent, and garlic in the popular colors, along with the new hatchery pellet scent, and green pumpkin. Lure casters should try Panther Martin's, Rooster Tails, Kastmasters, Blue Fox spinners, and Rapalas. ...

Posted by: thepinetree on 09/23/2010 09:40 PM
Murphys, CA...The bricks are stacking up at the Ebbetts Pass Veteran’s Monument in Murphys. The remarkable tribute to all United States Veteran’s was constructed last fall and dedicated on Veteran’s Day 2009. Currently the wall pays tribute to almost 300 individual veterans whose names are laser engraved on 4” x 8” bricks. The 30’ long wall and flag pole are now lit and offer the perfect setting for people to reflect alongside the beautiful Murphys creek. When completed, the wall will honor almost 600 individual veteran’s...

Local mason, Gary Donoho and Marine Veteran Mike Preston examine their work as they complete the 2nd installation of bricks, which includes a brick in memory of Lance Corporal Gavin Brummund.
