Posted by: John_Hamilton on 06/27/2012 05:15 PM
White Pines, CA...Thursday evening before Memorial Day found the members of Arnold Rotary raking and piling pine needles and weedeating the grassy areas of Rotary Cove (near the swimming beach) at White Pines Park, making it ready for Memorial weekend enjoyment by visitors and locals alike. After the work was done, a potluck and BBQ followed. Rotary is a world-wide service organization dedicated to helping others, and their motto is “Service Above Self.” Arnold Rotary is looking for new members who would like to be more involved in the Arnold community and helping others. For more information, contact President Sharon Tussy at 209.795.9693. Weekly dinner meetings are held at Sequoia Woods Country Club, starting at 7 p.m. on Thursdays. Also, be sure to stop by the Rotary BBQ trailer during the July 4th parade through downtown Arnold, being held on July 7th this year (first Saturday of July)...

Calaveras Humane Society Bids Farewell to President Seiler

Posted by: John_Hamilton on 06/25/2012 09:57 AM
San Andreas, Calif. – After serving his promised, one-year term as president of the Calaveras Humane Society, Bob Seiler is moving on and moving away. The 21-year Arnold resident recently sold his home as part of his family’s long-term, personal goals and will be moving to Placer County, Calif. “Our long range plan has been to downsize and move to a less remote area, now that we are retired and empty nesters,” said Seiler. “We decided to put our home on the market, thinking that it would take at least the summer to sell. We were shocked that it sold in just about a week and that we’ll be moving in early July.”...

Bob in the CHS Van in Last Year's Arnold Parade...He is Instructing a Safe Driving With Pets Class :). The Seiler Family will be missed and for many years their company SG Marketing was one of the largest employers in the Arnold area. Thanks for everything you did for Calaveras County!!!

We will have approximately 11 Cats & Kittens available to meet you this week. We are currently having a 'Summer Of Love' Special. The adoption donation for Adults & Junior Kittens over 4 months of age is $35, and all Kittens up to 4 months old are $50. Our "Kitty of the Month" is a special adoption donation price of only $25. This is an incredible value considering that our costs in caring for and preparing these wonderful foster cats for adoption is far greater. It's a labor of love.
