Grant from Save the Redwoods League to Calaveras Big Trees Visitor Center

ARNOLD, CA (April 12, 2012) — The Calaveras Big Trees Association (CBTA) has received an $83,000 grant from Save the Redwoods League toward work on a new visitor center at Calaveras Big Trees State Park. The funds will allow CBTA to complete design work and furnish the Center's book store and the offices used by volunteers and CBTA staff. The multi-million-dollar visitor center project is being built with funds from state park construction bonds, $500,000 in donations raised over a period of more than 15 years by CBTA, and the donation from Save the Redwoods League...
