Arnold, CA...Big Trees Market is working hard to keep the shelves stocked for you! They have also implemented enhanced safety, cleaning and social distancing procedures in the store. These include plastic shields between staff and public in the checkstands. Due to the supply chain disruptions their normal weekly ad took a bit of a hiatus. This week they have two pages of their normal 4 page returns and they have plenty of in-store specials and the savings you have come to rely on. Arnold, CA....Trees Down across lines and other wind driven issues are causing power outages in multiple areas this morning. Twain Harte, Cedar Ridge and other areas along the Hwy 108 Corridor are being hit hard this morning as is the high country on Hwy 4. Stay safe out there... (Update...Over 1,600 now without power in Dorrington, Camp Connell & Big Trees Village areas as well.)

Arnold, CA...The National Weather Service in Sacramento is forecasting that winter will return to our area later in the week. Detailed forecast for West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada. Today, Sunny. Very windy. Highs 30 to 45 higher elevations... 46 to 56 lower elevations. Prevailing east winds 25 to 45 mph with gusts to around 75 mph. Tonight, Clear, windy. Lows 18 to 33 higher elevations...33 to 44 lower elevations. Prevailing east winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts to around 50 mph decreasing to 10 to 20 mph with gusts to around 35 mph after midnight.

2,008 PG&E Customers Without Power to Start MLK Day |

Arnold, CA...While not a PSPS event there are still 2,008 customers without power in the Arnold area. Downed trees into lines are the probable cause. PG&E has crews inroute to assess the outages at this time. The Estimated time of restoral is 11am.
