San Andreas, CA...Joint pain can be caused by a variety of factors. Recent injuries (or old ones that never healed properly) are often to blame. For some, wear is simply a matter of age and genetic disposition. Whatever the cause, diagnosis by a qualified doctor is the first step to resolving the pain and regaining an active lifestyle. Once diagnosed, what can be done about it? Historically, long recovery times associated with invasive surgeries of the past compelled many to forgo treatment and endure their pain even as it worsened. But few disciplines evolve as quickly as modern medicine. In this day and age, many surgical remedies can be surprisingly painless and even lead to faster recoveries. Patients of the Orthopaedic department at Mark Twain Medical Center are often amazed at just how soon they are able to return to their favorite activities...

Minor Injuries in Hwy 4 Accident In The Snow |
Posted by: thepinetree on 04/02/2014 09:28 AM
|
Arnold, CA...On Sunday, March 31st, at 7:05 PM, P-1 was driving V-1 eastbound on SR-4 east of Shirewood Ln. at approximately 35 miles per hour. P-2 was driving V-2 westbound on SR-4 east of Shirewood Ln. at approximately 20 miles per hour. P-1 was traveling uphill negotiating a right-hand radius curve in the roadway as P-2 traveled downhill in the opposite direction. It was dusk and the weather was cloudy with moderate snowfall. The roadway was covered with approximately two inches of snow/slush. P-1 was traveling at a speed unsafe for roadway conditions and V-1 was equipped with tires which were worn down to the wear bar at all four corners. P-1 attempted to follow the curvature of the roadway, but V-1's speed and lack of mechanical grip produced understeer as it resisted the turning movement and skidded straight across the solid double yellow lines into P-2's path of travel. The front of V-1 collided with the front of V-2 and both vehicles came to rest blocking the westbound lane....
