U.S. Forest Service Seeks Public Input on Over-Snow Vehicle Designation Project |

Sonora, California, June 26, 2015 – The Stanislaus National Forest (STF) is requesting public comment on the Over-Snow Vehicle (OSV) proposed action beginning today, June 26. Public comment on the proposed action is encouraged. To assure your comments are fully considered during the scoping phase of the project, please submit comments by August 10, 2015.

Porter Is Missing |

Arnold, CA...His name is Porter, he is a Border Terrier Retriever mix. He is 2 1/2 years old and is 43 pounds. He can be tentative around new people but is very sweet and not aggressive. He was lost on Tuesday around 2:30 PM, he jumped out of a window from 1775 Pine Dr. in Arnold near the intersection of 5th Green and Pine Dr. He was last seen walking towards Big Trees Market. If anyone has seen him please call Glenn @ 925 577-5277 you can also contact Noreen Seeders at 209 728-7006.

Our entire family again extends a sincere thanks for your thoughts, prayers and support during this past year of successful treatments. Trey has been enjoying his favorites sport of baseball, as well as attending a few Giants games to watch his favorite player, Brandon Crawford. Angels Camp, CA...Stop by the Calaveras Humane Society's Thrift Store/Cat Adoption Center in Angels Camp, located in Angels Town Center at 240 S. Main St./Hwy 49. New summer hours for the Angels Camp Adoption Center are Thurs/Fri, 10 am–5 pm, and Saturday, 11 am–5pm. This week, in addition to Ladybug, we will have several others kitties available too--and guest cats from Calaveras County Animal Services will be available for adoption through CHS in Angels Camp as well. As always, we will also have kitties available at our Arnold Adoption Center, located in Meadowmont Center next to Big Trees Market, open Thurs.-Sat., 10am to 5pm. Come in and meet the kitties!

Dorrington, CA...Phil Orville Harris, 76, passed away Saturday, June 13 in Palo Alto, CA following a two year battle with lung cancer. He leaves his wife of 53 years, Linda Jean (Curtis) Harris, sons Gregory Curt Harris and Marc Phillip Harris and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by son Kevin Shawn Harris...
