Arnold, CA...Stop by Calaveras Humane Society's Thrift Store Cat Adoption Center in Arnold, located in Meadowmont Center next to Big Trees Market, open Thurs. through Sat., 10 am–5 pm. Jasper is available for a special reduced adoption donation of only $15! What a deal for a beautiful boy! We will also have kitties available at our Angels Camp Adoption Center, located in Angels Town Center (240 S. Main St./Hwy 49), open Thurs/Fri, 10 am–5 pm, and Saturday, 11 am–5pm. Come in and meet the kitties!

Traffic Update...Poop Happens, Septic Truck Off Moran Road

Arnold, CA...We would like to thank a Brett Loring for letting us know of a septic truck that has gone off Moran Road and crews are trying to get it all wiped up. This is at 10:35 a.m. and traffic is currently unable to pass. So having to backtrack to get to the highway.

Update On Temporary Closure of the Red Hill Annex Yard Waste Site

Vallecito, CA...The County is working to reopen the facility as quickly as possible and still provide necessary improvements & repairs for the operations of the site. The County is going to be making repairs and improvements to the current water system. These improvements will need to be brought before the Board of Supervisors for approval. Once these action items are completed, the County will be grading the site to improve and enlarge the yard waste
collection area.

Bear Valley, CA...The NWS Sacramento Office has issued a Special Weather Alert for south of US 50 until 10pm tonight. The remnants of Tropical Storm Dolores may bring heavy and wet thunderstorms to the Sierra Nevada mainly above 4,000 ft and south of US 50. The alerts are enclosed...
The Arnold Classic Car Show Brought Rolling Art To Cedar Center

Arnold, CA...The 2015 Arnold Classic Car Show brought rolling art to Cedar Center. Every year this show seems to grow and mature. Over 100 vehicles graced Cedar Center with style ranging from restorations to complete customs. The venue is maturing as well with the Arnold Pantry, Moose Lodge & others providing food and beverages during the event. We have 134 photos below and tried to get at lease one shot of each entrant. As we make upgrades to our site it also allows us to have higher resolution photos for many of our photo albums and slide shows. These are at 1024 resolution which should display much clearer on newer high resolution screens. Just click on one of the photos below to take you to the upgraded photo albums..
