Bear Valley Introduces 2017 Spring Season Pass and 2017-18 Season Passes

Bear Valley, CA...Bear Valley has announced a new 2017 spring season pass as well as its 2017/18 season pass. Both passes come with a variety of mountain perks and discounts including discounts on lessons, buddy passes, retail, food and beverage. The 2017 spring season pass provides unlimited lift access for the rest of the 2016/17 season which runs through April 23, and costs less than the price of two adult tickets. The pass offers the same perks as a full season pass including a 10 percent off retail, 13+ group lessons, food items and discounted buddy tickets, and can be traded-in for a 2017/18 pass if upgraded by April 30. The cost for an adult spring pass is $139 (ages 23+) and youth Spring pass is $99 (ages under 22).

Arnold, CA...The Calaveras County Water District is planning to interrupt water service for about 200 homes and 12 businesses in Arnold from 8 a.m. to noon Monday April 3. This water service outage is necessary to allow the District to perform a pipeline tie-in, which is part of the ongoing Reach 3A Transmission Pipeline Replacement Project.

San Andreas, CA...I have been repeatedly asked about Marijuana and the safety of Calaveras citizens. Last year the voters of California chose to decriminalize possession of small amounts of marijuana and to allow the small scale cultivation of marijuana. In addition, marijuana cultivation has now become a land use issue based upon decisions by the voters and the Board of Supervisors. In 2016, the previous Calaveras County Board of Supervisors chose to allow large commercial cultivation inside of residential areas of Calaveras County through an “Urgency Ordinance.”
