Posted by: thepinetree on 04/29/2010 04:37 PM
One of the most used and sometimes mystifying Apple applications, iPhoto will be the subject of the next meeting of the Sierra Macintosh Users Group (SMUG) to be held Tuesday, May 11 beginning at 7 p.m. in the assembly room of the Ebbetts Pass Fire District, 1037 Blagen Rd., just off Highway 4. Phill Hoxie, SMUG’s Apple Ambassador, will help everyone that is new to iPhoto, or who wants to improved his or her photo handling skills, to understand the many features of the application. His topics will include the use of Faces and the creating and managing of iPhoto libraries. As always, questions will be encouraged. .....

Fishing Report HWY 4 Corridor for April 27, 2010~by Bill Reynolds of Ebbetts Pass Sporting Goods

Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 04/28/2010 12:00 AM
The opener was this past Saturday the 24Th. It was one of the toughest fishing openers that I can recall. It was a beautiful weekend but due to recent snows most places were not accessible. The North Fork of the Stanislaus was about the only place to fish. There was big Brown Trout caught by one of our customers Kevin R. Kevin was using a Rapala when the 4lb. 1oz., 22inch fish hit. It was a challenge to get the fish as the water was high and fast. Congratulations to Kevin....

Arnold RIM Trail News

Posted by: thepinetree on 04/28/2010 08:16 PM
Dear Arnold Rim Trail supporters,Thanks to those who were available for our April 14th meeting in which we spent time sharing information about the trail, reviewed your input of November 2, 2009 which informed the selection of strategic goals that can help move the vision forward in 2010. The great news is that we have both monetary and people support for adding miles, permanent signage, trailhead kiosks and trail information this season. With a project of this magnitude we can always utilize more of both. The Prop 40 State Park Bond money, two years in limbo, finally made it to our county parks commission for disbursement to waiting contractors and the stimulus funds are already making it possible to break new .....
