Arnold, CA...From Cal-Fire TCU on this afternoon's Fire in Arnold. "We just dodged a figurative bullet. A vegetation fire was quickly contained in Arnold. BBQ briquettes were carelessly discarded and caused the fire.
@smokey_bear would be so disappointed. PLEASE be smart! DON’T be careless! #DontLetThisBeYou"

Pinecrest, CA....From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept....Mandatory Evacuation Order** Further mandatory evacuation orders are being issued in the Donnell Fire from Clark Fork to/ and including Kennedy Meadows. As of 11 AM the fire was estimated at 1000 acres.

Pinecrest, CA...We just checked in the Stanislaus National Forest Headquarters and they are compiling data and getting ready for the first releases on what will be called the Donnell Fire. It has now climbed to 500 acres and hundreds of firefighters are now working to get it under control. Smoke output from this fire is impacting the Hwy 108 and Hwy 4 corridors. More to follow...

Pinecrest, CA...Current Fire Situation: The Donnell Fire ignited at 5:49 p.m. Aug. 1, 2018 near Donnell Lake on Highway 108 east of Pinecrest. The fire has burned about 500 acres with active fire behavior and smoke outputs in two-foot high brush, timber litter and understory. The fire is burning to the northeast. The fire’s objectives includes firefighter and public safety; protection, maintenance and enhancement of natural and cultural resources. Firefighters are working to keep the fire north of the Middle Fork of the Stanislaus River, south of trail 19E06 and east of Dome Rock.
