Power Outages Drop to 5,771 in Amador, Calaveras & Tuolumne Counties As Crews Continue Their Work |

Arnold, CA....PG&E crews continue to make progress and the outage total has dropped to 5,771 as of this evening. With better weather ahead in Amador, Alpine, Calaveras & Tuolumne Counties...they should be able to get the bulk of customers back online soon and they will be continuing their work overnight.

Bret Harte High School District Will Be On A Two Hour Late Start Schedule February 6th |

Angels Camp, CA...The Bret Harte High School District schools, Bret Harte High School, Vallecito and John Vierra High School will be on a two hour delay for Wednesday February 6th. Busses will arrive at bus stops two hours later than normal. All students waiting at bus stops will be given a ride to school whether or not they have a bus pass on a bad weather day.

Angels Camp, CA...We spoke with Bret Harte High School District Superintendent Michael Chimente a few minutes ago and due to road conditions and bad weather they are closing schools in the BHUSD for today. Classes at Bret Harte High School, Vallecito and John Vierra High School will resume on Wednesday February 6th.

Structure Fire Quickly Contained in Arnold Area |

Arnold, CA...From EPFD..."EPFD was dispatched to a structure fire this morning. Units arrived to find smoke showing from the second floor. The first arriving units were able to quickly extinguish the fire on the second floor, before it spread from the room of origin. We also provided paramedics to assess and treat one of the residents involved."

Arnold, CA....Chain Controls are in Effect on our local Hwys. From north to south...Hwy 88 is closed at Carson Spur West of Kirkwood for Avalanche Control. On Hwy 4 you will need to chain up or engage the 4wd from Arnold on up. On Hwy 108 traction aids will be needed from Twain Harte on up.
