Columbia, CA...Columbia College will hold a Community Job Fair that is cosponsored with Mother Lode Job Training. The event will host 66 employers and will take place on Friday, April 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the Columbia College campus in the Oak Pavilion. Job seekers are encouraged to bring their résumé, dress for success, and be ready to discuss their experience and skills with prospective employers at the event.

Angels Camp, CA...What is a Color Me Green Run?  The Color Me Green 5K Run is a state-wide service learning opportunity specific to the improvements of health. With the support of adult leaders, youth organize and execute a 5K run in their community. In Calaveras, this event is hosted by the Calaveras Wranglers and Copper Hills 4-H community clubs. The event is set to be held on March 31, 2019 at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds and begins at 2 p.m. This event is free to 4-H members and $5 to other participants.

PG&E Helicopter Patrols in Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties

Angels Camp, CA...Given the dramatic wildfire threat our communities face this year, PG&E is taking immediate action to ensure the safety of our customers, their neighborhoods and the surrounding community. PG&E Vegetation Management Crews are taking urgent action to create even greater safety clearances between trees and power lines in neighborhoods and communities that face the most extreme wildfire-threat. To support this effort, PG&E will be using helicopters to patrol electric lines in areas of Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties that are in extreme fire threat areas defined by the CPUC High Fire Threat map.
