Murphys, CA April 19, 2019: The Mind Matters Clinic in Murphys, CA is hosting an outdoor concert and silent auction fundraiser event at Twisted Oak Winery at 4280 Red Hills Rd., Vallecito, CA on the evening of June 22, 2019. The event will feature bluegrass and folk music by the Magnolia Rhythm Trio, jazz by the Bob Eisenman Trio, and rock and roll by Bill Welles Band. Advance tickets are available online through brownpapertickets.com and at the gate on the day of the event.

Bring the family for half-price family swim all day long. Family swim is normally $20.00 for the day, so families can swim for only $10.00 on Father's Day. San Andreas, CA...The 2019 season of CalaverasGROWN Certified Farmers Markets opens Thursday, June 13th in the UCCE Master Gardeners Demonstration Garden at Government Center, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas. By popular demand, this year the market will be open weekly. The main market will take place on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 4 -6pm (June 13th, July 11th, August 8th, September 12th and October 10th) featuring local growers and vendors, live music from Vintage Vibrations and family-friendly activities for kids. In the weeks between, CalaverasGROWN will operate a farm stand in the same location offering many of the same products from CalaverasGROWN producers as well as a pick-up option for special orders. Calaveras County Public Health Issues Heat Advisory to Residents |

San Andreas, CA...June 11, 2019, Calaveras County Health and Human Services Agency - Public Health Division issues a heat advisory for the County. Temperatures of 95 degrees or more will continue over the next several days. Dr. Kelaita, County Health Officer, stated, “Taking action now can prevent the possibility of heat-related illness. Some health conditions such as obesity, fever, dehydration, heart disease, poor circulation, sunburn and drug/alcohol use can make it harder for the body to stay cool in hot weather.”
