However, the $45 blood analysis screening which hundreds of local residents always take advantage of at the event are still be available – by appointment over the next few weeks. Five local Community Leaders Appointed to Mark Twain Medical Center Community Board

San Andreas, CA...Five new community members have recently been appointed to serve on the Mark Twain Medical Centers (MTMC) Community Board. The mission and purpose of the MTMC Hospital Community Board is: (a) provide local oversight of quality of care delivered in the local hospital; (b) oversee medical staff functions; and (c) to provide advice and counsel to the Dignity Health/Dignity Care Boards that reflects the communities and markets served by local facilities. Some Hospital Community Boards support individual facilities; others support several facilities in the same region or market.

San Andreas, CA...On Friday, September 11, 2020, Calaveras Public Health confirmed 8 new deaths and 12 new cases of COVID-19 in Calaveras County. The latest fatalities include 2 females and 6 males all over the age of 65. All 8 deaths stem from the outbreak among residents of Avalon Health Care San Andreas. All individuals tested positive for the virus and were unable to recover. HIPAA privacy rules regulate the sharing of protected health information. No additional information is available about these individuals.

Calaveras Public Health Reports 13 New Cases of COVID-19 in Calaveras County

San Andreas, CA...On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, Calaveras Public Health confirmed 13 new cases of COVID-19 in Calaveras County. The additional cases include 1 female between 0 to 17 years of age, 1 female between 50-64 years of age, and 7 females and 4 males over 65 years of age. There were 11 cases reported in District 1, and Districts 2 and 5 each had one case. There were no cases to report in Districts 3 & 4.

Lake Tahoe, CA/NV...Parking areas at the Tallac Historic Site, Kiva Beach/Picnic area and the Taylor Creek Visitor Center reopened yesterday at 7am. The parking areas at the Tallac Historic Site, Kiva Beach/Picnic area and the Taylor Creek Visitor Center were temporarily closed to allow for treatment to mitigate fleas in the area, which have tested positive for Bubonic Plague bacteria.

San Andreas, CA...On Friday, September 4, 2020, Calaveras Public Health confirmed 16 new cases of COVID-19 in Calaveras County. The additional cases include 1 female between 18 to 49 years of age, 4 females and 2 males between 50-64 years of age, and 3 females and 6 males over 65 years of age. There were 9 cases reported in District 1, 1 case in District 2, 2 cases in District 4, and 4 cases in District 5. There were no cases to report in District 3.
