Congratulations To New EPFD Chief David H. Baugher

Posted by: thepinetree on 08/04/2008 08:32 PM
Arnold, CA...This morning it became truly Official. New Ebbetts Pass Fire Protection District Chief David H. Baugher was presented his official Badge during a special ceremony at the Main EPFD Station in Arnold. Chief Baugher has big shoes to fill. The Chief's position was held for many, many years by Warren Wilkes. Under Chief Wilkes EPFD grew to be the premier fire & EMS protection district in the entire county. Many of the other districts in the county look to EPFD as the model agency to emulate. From all of us at ThePineTree.net we would like to congratulate Chief Baugher and we wish him years of success...

Luann Baugher pins the Chief's Badge on David while son Jacob looks on.

Posted by: thepinetree on 08/05/2008 06:30 PM
Angels Camp, CA...Now that the bulk of the earth has been moved and visibly rapid process has slowed. We thought it might be a good time to for a Angels Camp Bypass Update. Joe Darby is Angels Camp's Newest Planning Commissioner

Posted by: thepinetree on 08/05/2008 09:16 PM
Angels Camp, CA...Joe Darby was appointed by the Angels Camp City Council to serve on the Angels Camp Planning Commission. Mr. Darby has finally been rewarded for his patience. This was his second attempt at the position. He was further delayed last month as he was the lone applicant. The City Council voted to advertise the position again and this month there were four applicants. Mr. Darby prevailed over some very seasoned applicants including a former Planning Commissioner. City Clerk Mary Kelly said "Mr. Darby called City Hall earlier today and explained he might be just a few minutes late getting to the meeting as he was just returning from his honeymoon". So...congratulations to Mr. Darby twice! Once for the nuptials and again for the appointment.
