Posted by: thepinetree on 08/12/2008 07:13 PM
Copperopolis, CA...Congressman Dan Lungren is speaking to a good sized crowd at the Copperopolis Armory tonight. One of the hot topics is energy and energy costs. One interesting note he has brought forward is that China now has the rights to drill about 45 miles off of the Florida Coast in International waters. We have limited ourselves to drilling no closer than 100 miles off of the very same coast....

Is There a Roundabout Way To Your Future? In Angels Camp the Answer is Maybe~By John Hamilton

Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 08/07/2008 12:43 AM
Angels Camp, CA...At the Angels Camp City Council Meeting on Tuesday the Consulting Firm of Omni Means presented study data on Using Roundabouts among other designs on some of the Hwy 4 & 49 intersections in the Angels Camp area. Some of the intersections include Dogtown Road, Angel Oaks and the most problematic one at Hwy 4 & Hwy 49 in the historic section of town. There was one design presented that would be functional in the downtown area. In the opinion of some it would make the area really cramped and might not eliminate some of the current problems. Several members of the audience felt that the best solution for this intersection was to continue the bypass route on Southward until it intersects with Hwy 49 going South....
