Glass Doctor of the Gold Country Donates Food, Money to Local Food Bank |

Jackson, CA...Customers and community members helped the Glass Doctor of the Gold Country collect 340 pounds of food items and more than $300 as part of the company’s “Season of Sharing” campaign. The items were donated to the Interfaith Food Bank on Friday, Dec. 23. Glass services technicians with Glass Doctor of the Gold Country collected items from customers while on service calls. The shop was also a collection site for drop-off items from the community....

SAN ANDREAS, CA – Over the weekend The District was alerted that someone is posing as a CCWD Employee and asking to check customer’s water pressure in the Jenny Lind area. This person or persons was not an employee of the Calaveras County Water District. The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department has been notified, if you see suspicious activity please call the Sheriff Department at 209.754.6500....

SAN ANDREAS, CA – On December 13, 2012 a Notice of Applicability (NOA) permit for the Calaveras County Water District LaContenta Wastewater Treatment facility was issued by the State Water Resource Control Board. The notice provides coverage for the District under general waste discharge requirements for landscape irrigation uses of municipal recycled water. Arnold, CA...For over two decades one familiar and reliable presence along the Ebbetts Pass Corridor has been UPS Driver Mike Mainguth. Michael has worked on Hwy. 4 from Angels Camp to Bear Valley for over 30 years. The past 24 years as a United Parcel Service delivery driver. The community has put a banner across Hwy 4 in Arnold thanking him for his service. He also recently raised his profile even a bit higher as he and his wife Evelyn recently were one of the winning couples in Dancing With the Stars at Ironstone.
