Investor Alert for the Retired~By Donna M. Stevenson of Pacific West Financial

Posted by: Kim_Hamilton on 01/05/2009 11:53 AM
On December 23 President Bush signed the Worker, Retiree, and Employer Recovery Act of 2008. This is important news for retirees who have reached the age of 70 ½. It is important because it suspends the IRS regulation that requires you to take a minimum distribution (also known as a RMD) in the tax year 2009. If you or a lovedone is over the age of 70 ½ you should contact your financial advisor for more information,....

Performance Based Building...Quality You Can Test ~By John Hamilton

Posted by: thepinetree on 12/19/2008 10:50 AM
Angels Camp, CA...We had the pleasure to spend a few minutes talking with Local Contractor, Tom Danielsen and Andy Wahl of New World Management yesterday on a twist they are bringing to Construction. Tom uses Andy's services to actually test the efficiency and livability of a home. Using infrared cameras, pressure testing and other techniques they can verify the improvements they make. Sometimes they can raise the efficiency of a home 50% or more. We found it fascinating and very informative. Enclosed is a very nice video interview and also an additional press release from Danielson Fine Homes on their business...

Posted by: thepinetree on 12/18/2008 01:14 PM
San Andreas, CA...We had the opportunity to speak with the Calaveras County County of Governments Executive Director Tim McSorely again this morning and the Angels Camp Bypass made the "Coal in Stocking" list of projects that may be affected by the Pooled Money Investment Board decision on Wednesday to suspend funding for some $4 Billion in loans for Bond backed infrastructure projects. A total of 4 local projects made the list including the Angels Camp Bypass and two CAL-FIRE projects and also an unspecified project at Bret Harte. The good news..
