We would like to thank Jeff Rasmussen for sending us some great shots of the Varsity boys game between Bret Harte and Calaveras on Friday eve. We were unable to get an internet connection at CHS, so were unable to broadcast the game as we had planned. We deeply apologize.

Bear Valley, CA.....On Saturday March 7th, cross country skiers from near and far will assemble in the Bear Valley Meadow for the 36th running of the Bjornloppet Ski Race and Festival. With a 10:30 am start, The Bjornloppet, meaning Bear Race in Norwegian, is enjoyed by young and old alike. There are divisions for all ages and two distances are offered, 20 kilometers (two laps) and 10 kilometers in Saturday’s freestyle (striding or ski skating) race. The mass start is fun to....

Angels Camp, CA....Join us for some "Live" Bret Harte Basketball as the boys take on Amador at home! We will start broadcasting at approximately 6:30pm. Thanks so much for stopping by! We have had some requests by some parents to start a little earlier to show the JV game. The Frosh Men were successful 43-34 over Amador. At the half Amador JV is ahead of Bret Harte JV 34-24. Inspite of some very nice play by the Junior Frogs Amador takes it 66 - 44. And for the Varsity Game....At the half Bret Harte is ahead 35-25. At end, Bret Harte let this one slip away. They were up by as many as 16 at one point and they let Amador back in the game. These are both very talented teams and Amador has a happy ride home with a win of 58-47 over Bret Harte.

Calaveras County, CA....Calaveras American Little League Night will be held on February 24th, 2009 at 7pm. Parents are encouraged to come and get

Pinecrest, CA...Young Ski Racers from Bear Valley, Dodge Ridge, Badger Pass and Sierra Summit carved their way down Bobby's Freedom Run in the Annual Ryan Lavagnino Classic at Dodge Ridge Ski Resort last weekend. This was the second of 4 races in the Far West Central Series. The first leg was the Bear Valley Slalom with the second being the Ryan Lavagnino Classic Giant Slalom Race. The 3rd and 4th will be a Super G race on a fast course at Sierra Summit and they will finish up with a Slalom Race in Yosemite at Badger Pass. Almost 130 kids flew down the course with runs on Saturday and Sunday. Our local Bear Valley Team did very will with several first place, podium and top 10 finishes. The Bear Valley team continued their dominance of the Men's J4 Class with all Bear Valley Podiums Saturday and Sunday. Bear Valley's Erik Arvidsson turned in another dominating performance with wins both days in the J4 Class and the fastest overall times of the weekend. Bear Valley, CA...The 2009 Snowshoe Stomp and fundraiser for the Vallecito Union School District Music Department. Was a stomping good time for all. This year's field swelled a bit over last year. This Stomp was also a qualifier for the Snowshoe Nationals to be held at Mt. Hood...
