Stockton, CA...There are several road operations that will affect traffic in our coverage area. In Calaveras starting on December 18 on Hwy 4, Begin:Horseshoe Drive (Right) End: Tipton House RoadRestriction: One-way traffic control Reason: Crack Seal Operation. In Tuolumne County starting on December 16th on Hwy 49. "Begin: Cemetery Road End: Fifth Avenue Restriction: Right shoulder, Reason: Shoulder Work". "Begin: Solinski Street, End: Ponderosa Drive, Restriction: #1 of 2 lanes, right shoulder, Reason: Utility Work". On Hwy 120 staring on the 16th. "Begin: Jacksonville Road, End: State Route 49, Restriction: Right shoulder, Reason: Utility Work". "Begin: Yosemite Lakes Drive, End: Cherry Valley Road/Sweetwater Road, Restriction: One-way traffic control, Reason: Crack Seal Operation". "Begin: South Fork Tuolumne River, End: Yosemite Lakes Drive. Restriction: One-way traffic control, Reason: Crack Seal Operation". In Amador on Hwy 88 starting on the 16th. "Begin: Bamert, Road (Left), End: Jackson Valley Road, Restriction: One-way traffic control, Reason: Bridge Work". Jackson, CA...It used to be back in the day we could call our neighbors and others in the region out on their politics, values, morals and ethics with NO repercussions besides our region becoming stronger as a whole? So what happened? What started the down hill trend where now even some of the old timers just shake their heads and allow those moving into the region to set precedence over what happens in our region?

Sutter Hill, CA....The tradition of raising funds to support residents with disabilities goes deep in Amador and Calaveras County. Saturday, December 7, 2013 repeats a tradition over 40 years in the making as The Arc hosts its annual fundraiser at the American Legion Hall in Sutter Hill while highlighting local Artists in ArCreations! The event raises money for programs and services provided to adults with disabilities. Local business, Terra d’Oro Winery, will highlight the amazing annual ArCreations! event by being one of the title sponsors supporting The Arc of Amador and Calaveras, pouring their local wine....
