Arnold, CA...National Weather Service Sacramento has extended their Excessive Heat Warning through Sunday at 8pm. Dangerously hot conditions continue for northern California. High pressure over the west will result in very hot daytime temperatures through the weekend. These hot afternoon temperatures, combined with warm overnight lows, will lead to widespread high to very high heat risk. The Complete Warning is below...

Sierra Pacific Industries California Forestlands Closed to Public Access Due to Drought and Wildfire Danger

Anderson, CA...Due to the extreme drought conditions and risk of wildfire, Sierra Pacific Industries (SPI) is closing its California forestlands to public access. This closure will begin Monday, June 21, and remain in effect until further notice.

Amador COVID-19 Update

Amador County, CA... Amador County Public Health reports 12 more cases of COVID-19 since last Tuesday’s update, bringing the total laboratory confirmed case count to 1,821. The new cases include 6 males and 6 females, 7 aged 18-49, 3 aged 50-64, 2 age 65 and above; 4 residing in Ione, 2 living in Jackson, and 6 living in Plymouth/surrounding areas.

Arnold, CA...The National Weather Service in Sacramento CA has issued an Excessive Heat Warning as...Dangerously hot conditions to return to northern California. High pressure over the Desert Southwest will build west over California later this week, resulting in widespread warming over northern California. High temperatures will soar well into the triple digits by Thursday Valley-wide with some areas in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys approaching 110 to 112 degrees for Thursday and Friday. Isolated areas could get as hot as 113 degrees. These hot afternoon temperatures, combined with warm overnight lows in the upper 60s to low 80s, will produce widespread high to very high heat risk. Consequently, an Excessive Heat Warning has been issued.
