Arnold, CA...Winter is returning this week with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from January 13, 04:00 PM PST until January 14, 10:00 AM PST & a Winter Storm Watch in effect from January 15, 04:00 PM PST until January 17, 04:00 AM PST. Burson, CA...In response to reports of thefts and burglaries in the Burson area, Calaveras Sheriff’s Deputies have been conducting increased extra patrols. This method of community oriented policing also includes extensive analysis of the criminal activity. In some cases, a pattern or patterns of activity has been identified which has allowed the Sheriff’s Office to most efficiently utilize its limited resources.

Arnold, CA...As we start the first full week of 2020 we have a bit of weather headed our way. It should be enough to put a fresh coat of white on our area at higher elevations though. The forecast for West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada from the National Weather Service is below...Rest Of Today Sunny. Highs 31 to 46 higher elevations...43 to 53 lower elevations. Prevailing southwest winds up to 10 mph. Tonight Clear. Lows 15 to 30 higher elevations...28 to 38 lower elevations. Prevailing northeast winds up to 15 mph.
