Ham's Station, CA...Crews are working an overturned Toyota Pickup on Hwy 88 near Bear River Road. The vehicle is into a snowbank and an ambulance has been dispatched but it appears it may be non-injury. Please use caution and expect delays in the area....

Jackson, CA...Tis the season for soups and stews to keep us warm as the weather cools. A key ingredient in my soups and stews is broth, preferably homemade. I recently spent several days pressure canning broth made from the remains of a holiday turkey. I prefer canned broth over frozen broth to save freezer space and defrosting time....

Pine Grove, CA...Crews are working a minor injury accident where a pickup has gone off the roadway in the slick conditions. The accident is near Tabeau Rd and may be causing delays until they can get it cleared. Please be careful as black ice type conditions are prevalent throughout the region...

Glass Doctor of the Gold Country Donates Food, Money to Local Food Bank |

Jackson, CA...Customers and community members helped the Glass Doctor of the Gold Country collect 340 pounds of food items and more than $300 as part of the company’s “Season of Sharing” campaign. The items were donated to the Interfaith Food Bank on Friday, Dec. 23. Glass services technicians with Glass Doctor of the Gold Country collected items from customers while on service calls. The shop was also a collection site for drop-off items from the community....

| Sonora, CA..Busy traffic afternoon right now Calaveras is clear for the moment but in Tuolumne County a Hummer and a Dodge Ram pickup have gotten together on Hwy 108 and Leisure Drive. Thee is also a multi-vehicle accident near Montezuma Junction in the clearing stages now. In Amador on Hwy 88 crews are working incidents at Fiddletown Silver Lake Road, at the Dew Drop Bypass and at Silver Drive. The roads are extremely slick so lets be careful out there... |

Arnold, CA...Chain Controls are in effect from 4.5 miles east of Arnold on up on Hwy 4. On Hwy 108 they are in effect 1 mile east of Long Barn. Hwy 88 has intermittent closures at near the Carson Spur for avalanche controls. Controls are in effect from Ham's Station on up on Hwy 88....

Arnold, CA...Caltrans has chin controls in effect on Hwy 4 from Cottage Springs on up and on Hwy 88 chain controls are in effect from 4 miles east of Hams Station. No controls in effect on Hwy 108 at this time. Drive safe out there....
