Mokelumne Hill, CA...On 5/5/2019, at approximately 7:50am Anthony Perez, 27 from Riverside was descending SR-49 NB, toward the Amador/Calaveras County line. He was driving between 35-45 MPH in a commercial vehicle as he approached a curve with a 30 MPH warning sign. As as the 2017 Freightliner continued through the curve, due to the speed, the truck overturned onto its left side. As the truck slid to a stop it after it collided with the guard rail.
Pioneer, CA...Sad next of kin notifications are being done for a fatal collision on Hwy 88 on May 3rd. A driver was driving a 2010 Mazda 3 on Hwy 88 east of Bear River. At approximately 12:40pm the driver had just negotiated a curve to the right when for an unknown reason the vehicle was allowed to travel across the eastbound lane of Hwy 88 and onto the eastbound shoulder. The Mazda traveled off an embankment where the roof of the Mazda struck a tree.
