Blue Mountain Group Awared Grant From Home Depot!

West Point, California, August, 2012 – Through its Community Impact Grants Program, The Home Depot® Foundation has awarded $4,400 to the BMC Workshop of the Blue Mountain Community Renewal Council. The donation will be used to replace siding on the West Point Community Hall. “What fantastic encouragement to us to get financial help to enable us to replace the weather-beaten, sun-damaged siding on this magnificent old community hall,” said Sandi Krewski, founder and leader of West Point’s BMC (Saturday-morning) Workshop. “Our team works tirelessly every weekend to improve downtown West Point, and, in particular, the Community Hall...

BOE Finds Amador County Assessor’s Office Meets State Standards

Sacramento, CA...The Board of Equalization (BOE) released a report today that states most properties in Amador County are properly assessed and the overall quality of the assessment roll meets state standards, announced George Runner, Second District Member of the California State Board of Equalization. The Amador County Assessment Practices Survey Report addresses the quality of the 2010-11 Amador County assessment roll, representing about $4.5 billion in value, and presents 14 recommendations for improving the Amador County Assessor’s programs. ...

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (July 13) – Awards were presented to29 California Counties exhibiting in 2012 California State Fair. Solano County took Best of Show, but other counties followed closely. The Counties Exhibit has been a longstanding fan favorite and continues to draw crowds of fairgoers every year who support their favorite county. Fairgoers have an opportunity to vote in the People’s Choice Award, which will be announced on closing day, July 29...
