Copperopolis, CA....Update 4:35pm: Just spoke to CHP Officer Myers, the patient who suffered major injuries in this motorcycle vs. van accident, has so sadly passed away. The deceased was the passenger on the back of the motorcycle. The rider did suffer non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation. CHP will have an official release completed tomorrow morning after notification's have been made. Details of the the accident that occurred earlier today are enclosed. Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to those involved.... (Update Janet Gregory, 63 was the deceased in yesterdays crash)

Dear Copperopolis Veteran of Foreign War

As you may know we are so very close to our goal of 35 new and transfer/reinstate veterans of foreign war to begin filing for a VFW post in Copperopolis. We have received support from our neighbor post 2600 in San Andreas and an outpouring of local support through contributions and use of facilities. Due to the numbers we have already received all paperwork from I felt it was time to contact Sacramento regarding where we stood. It was brought to my attention that because I am not a veteran and because we have almost reached our goal of membership, I am no longer permitted to participate in the formation process. This being the case, I am sad to say that I am stepping down.....

Man So Sadly Passes Away in Copperopolis Fire Saturday Morning

Copperopolis, CA...We have just received confirmation from the Calaveras Coroners's Office, that a male subject, Ricky Brent Lamb, Sr., passed away in a house fire that occurred early Saturday morning in Copperopolis. The fire occurred on Pool Station Road. The home was completely destroyed by the fire early Saturday morning. According to Ed from Cal Fire, it was fully involved when crews arrived. The home was a total loss. May our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Mr. Lamb. .....
