2/10/11 Update on Copperopolis Horses~by Re-Horse Rescue Ranch |

Hello Everyone, We wanted to update everyone as to the progress and condition of the newly rescued horses from Copperopolis. All the horses have settled in and are adapting nicely to their new living accommodations.
We have so far had 3 hoof abscesses that required veterinary treatment. Many are in need of dental care and very underweight. 3 of the mares here at ReHorse have been "untouchable". In the last 3 days with the help of some yummy apple horses cookies we have been able to finally touch all of the horses. We are assuming that at least the 3 have never been haltered.....

Camps Restaurant, Greenhorn Creek, Angels Camp, CA....Tonight's meeting of the Angels Camp Business Association (ACBA) offered a chance for businesses coming to our community to introduce themselves in person. Janice Bassett, a resident of Valley Springs, has recently launched her web-based gift and fundraising business "Janice's Great Gifts and Decor" and can be found at her website www.janicesgreatgifts.com. Calaveras Fairgrounds, Mark Twain Hall, Angels Camp, CA...The Calaveras County Junior Livestock Boosters came through again tonight, as the Mark Twain Hall was full to capacity with local folk ready for a full meal. time to spend with their friends, and a chance to celebrate and support our local youth raising livestock for sale at this years upcoming Calaveras County Fair and Frog Jumping Jubilee. 25 or more years back, kids raising stock in our community offered that stock at auction at the fair; and those kids came out with a loss.....
