Copperopolis, CA....Visitors and locals alike will have the opportunity to discover the story within the pages of Billie Kane’s shop, Once Upon a Time on the Square, in Copper Town Square June 15th. Come join the Calaveras Visitors Bureau for their 2nd event on this summers Discover Calaveras tour. Networking kicks things off at 5pm and will be accompanied by our events feature winery, Ironstone Vineyards, who will be showcasing some of their award... winning wines. At 5:30pm a tour and business update will commence. Following this event will be Music in the Park at 6:30pm .....

Last Saturday, the Angels Gun Club Youth Shooters attended the season's last fun shoot at Sierra Valley Gun Club located near Portola. The Junior Varsity team performed well with Conner Thompson of Angels Camp shooting a 94 out of 100 to achieve 3rd place and Joey Griswold of San Andreas shot a 92 out of 100 to tie for 5th place, both shooting their first 25 straight out of 25. On the Intermediate Advanced team Carson Atkinson of Copperopolis shot 90 out of .....

Angels Camp, CA...The Bret Hare graduation tonight we hope is dry. Odds are that it will be with just a 20% chanch of up to a 10th of an inch of rain. The NWS forecast is as follows: Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 69. South southwest wind around 7 mph. Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. West wind at 6 mph becoming north. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible....

| Copperopolis, CA....Piper Faith Nunes was born to Holly Moore and Paul (CP) Nunes of Copperopolis on May 23,2011 at 9:45 p.m. at Sonora Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 lbs 10 oz and 19 1/2 in. Her grandparents are Robert and Dyana Moore of Copperopolis and Abilio and Bernadette Nunes of Oakdale. Great Grandparents are Barbara Cheney of Copperopolis, and George and Joan Loomis of Angels Camp. Great Great Grandmother is Maria Azevedo of San Jorge,Azores. She has one brother Wyatt Nunes, 5. |

Copperopolis, CA...Emergency crews are on the way to an accident on Hwy 4 and Pool Station Road. More to follow if needed.... An air ambulance has been ordered to transport a middle aged female..and traffic controls are in place at this time...Roadway now clear as of 2pm.
