Luckily Only Mnor Injuries in Christmas Evening Head On

Angels Camp, CA...It was Ford F250 vs F150 last night with only minor injuries. A 70 year old Altaville man was westbound on Hwy 4 just west of Appaloosa Road at about 40 mph. An Angels Camp women in her F250 eastbound on Hwy 4 approaching his location. As the F150 crested a rise in the roadway, his vehicle stated to fishtail. In an attempt to keep control of his truck he turned to the left, but over corrected, causing his vehicle to cross over the center of the roadway directly into the path of the oncoming F250....

Winter Storm Warning in North Central California

Arnold, CA...Active for next 11 hours! Location: West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada. Wintry weather in the mountains of Northern California continuing today. The winter storm that moved through northern California on Tuesday is now moving east of the region. Snow showers will continue however at the higher elevations. Chain controls already in place are likely to continue through the day over the Sierra. Check road conditions before traveling. For Road information call 800-427-7623 (Road).

Traffic Update...Head On Collision on Hwy 4...Roadway Clear as of 8:20pm...

Angels Camp, CA...CHP is reporting a head on collision on Hwy 4 and Pool Station. The roadway is blocked at this time. Hopefully with the weather the speeds may have been lower. No word yet on extent of, or if any injuries. An ambulance is responding however.

Bear Valley, CA...The next storm system is upon us now. It looks like it will be bringing a White Christmas all the way to Christmas. Then you can unpack all your snow toys and go play. On a serious note. Please be prepared for at least a couple of days if your car gets stuck or stranded. The forecast through Christmas. Today... Late Afternoon Rain and snow showers. Snow level 4500 feet. Steady temperature around 37. Southeast wind around 13 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. Tonight Rain and snow. Snow level 4400 feet. Steady temperature around 36. Southeast wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. Saturday Rain showers before 5pm, then rain and snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Snow level 4700 feet. Temperature falling to around 31 by noon. South southeast wind 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no snow accumulation expected...

Bear Valley, CA... Tonight Snow showers. Low around 17. Southwest wind 7 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible. Tuesday Snow showers, mainly before 4pm. Temperature rising to near 19 by noon, then falling to around 14 during the remainder of the day. Calm wind becoming west northwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Tuesday Night A 20 percent chance of snow showers before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 6. East northeast wind around 10 mph....
