Copperopolis, CA...Last Thursday Night Copperopolis Town Square Kicked off their Fall Music Series. They will be holding concerts every Thursday Night until November 30. Local Singer Extraordinaire & District 5 County Supervisor Russ Thomas kicked off the Fall Season. Many locals are familiar with Supervisor Thomas's great renditions of our national anthem. Thursday night he showed the audience that his range extends far beyond Francis Scott Key. He was accompanied on the keyboard by Professor Peter Bond as he sang some great classic songs. We have about 10 minutes of their show enclosed...

San Andreas, CA...Last weeks Board of Supervisors Meeting was a Busy one. The final budget was approved, Pearl Gates of Heaven Lost their tax appeal, The Valley Springs Signs were partially approved, Calaveras County Behavioral Health Services contract for Inpatient Psychiatric Treatment and much more were discussed. The meeting ran in total over 5 hours again this week. We are streaming now and positioning controls will be available when one pass through the video is complete. This agenda item faced little opposition in light of economic realities of the current real estate market. Trinitas was also a discussion item. The discussion centered around the board taking a working meeting...

Copperopolis, CA....CAL Fire states spontaneous combustion in planter box causes small fire at 2810 Cheyenne Road in Copperopolis on September 30th. There were no injuries reported. Dollar damages are $200 to pants and planter box. CAL Fire report enclosed....

Copperopolis, CA....A motorhome fire that occurred at 3472 Hwy near Hunt Road in Copperopolis on September 26 suffered $1,000 in damages. There were no injuries. Cause of the fire is electrical. Full CAL Fire report enclosed....

Murphys, CA...Best of Shows? The 2008 Ironstone Concours d'Elegance is in the books and it was a fabulous event again this year. Tom and Julie Williams and their beautiful 1931 Pierce-Arrow, took Home “Best of Show” honors. When we spoke with Ironstone's Gail Kautz she mentioned that this year's Concours may have been their best ever. They had to start turning away entrants once they passed 350...

4th Annual Children's Benefit Golf Tournament This Saturday at Forest Meadows!

Calaveras County, CA....The 4th Annual Children's Benefit Golf Tournament will take place at Forest Meadows Golf Course on September 27, 2008 at 1pm. HRC Santa's Express is a nonprofit organization whose sole purpose is to serve disadvantaged families in Calaveras County at Thanksgiving and Christmas. The monies raised from this golf tournament goes to purchase the toys and clothes for these families. For more information contact Don Lloyd at 209-728-8645.

Angels Camp, CA.....Family Resources Network Presents Sibshops, a program just for brothers and sisters of children of special needs. Sibshops are informal meetings of siblings ages 7-14. Sibshops consist of recreational activities and learning opportunities and provide siblings with an opportunity to meet other siblings of special needs children and to exchange information, thoughts and ideas...and to have fun! There will be a Sibshop program held on Saturday October 4th......
