"Pumpkin Junction" opens October 11th. Get your pumpkins, decorations, & pumpkin yummy treats! Proceeds go to the PTC - Parent Teachers Club. Hours: Mon - Fri 4pm to 8pm Sat - 9am to 8pm Sun - 10am to 5pm.....

Calaveras County, CA....The Calaveras Council of Governments is the Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA) for Calaveras County. Currently we have an opening on the Council for a Public Member and we welcome Your application! The CCOG has a number of transportation planning programs as well as bike and pedestrian programs, all of which are having positive impacts in our community and public participation is needed.....

Ripon, CA...We would like to thank Jeff Rasmussen for taking great photos again this week. The Bullfrogs are home on Friday against Escalon. This Friday is also fan appreciation night. During the Bret Harte Football game against Escalon the first 500 Bret Harte adult fans will receive either a: 4 inch Mum plant ready for the garden grown my our agriculture students, or Spirit megaphone. Also included with either item will be a coupon redeemable at the Snack Bar for a free drink. This is Bret Harte High School's way of thanking the community and parents for their continued support of all of our student athletes.

Is Villa Del Lago Going Into Rehab?

Copperopolis, CA...Lake Tulloch Resort has closed for the season and possibly forever. Developer Bernadette Abramson is pushing for replacing the hotel with a 32 Townhouse project. Villa Del Lago was approved by the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors in August but Tri-Dam who controls the lake is against the project and has sued Calaveras County. Bernadette Abramson has recently issued a statement that she will open Lake Tulloch Resort back up as a Drug and Alcohol treatment center if the Villa Del Lago project is denied. Calaveras County Board of Supervisors Back in Action Tuesday Morning

San Andreas, CA....The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors are back in action Tuesday morning at 9am. Some of the agenda items being discussed will be a Resolution Item proclaiming October 5th`11th as Emergency Nurses Week in Calaveras County; A Resolution accepting bid and authorizing an agreement with Traffic Limited, Inc., in the amount of $67,000, for stenciling various County Roads; Public Comment this week will include a presentation of a 2008 CSAC Challenge Award and Merit Award to the County of Calaveras; A Presentation by the Mental Health Board with their 2007 Annual Report; At 10:30am, there will be A Public Hearing establishing Proposition 4 FY Appropriations Limits for the County of Calaveras; A Study Session at 1:30pm regarding Discussion/Information regarding a Local Hazard Mitigation Plan for for the Sheriff's Office. Copperopolis, CA...Last Thursday Night Copperopolis Town Square Kicked off their Fall Music Series. They will be holding concerts every Thursday Night until November 30. Local Singer Extraordinaire & District 5 County Supervisor Russ Thomas kicked off the Fall Season. Many locals are familiar with Supervisor Thomas's great renditions of our national anthem. Thursday night he showed the audience that his range extends far beyond Francis Scott Key. He was accompanied on the keyboard by Professor Peter Bond as he sang some great classic songs. We have about 10 minutes of their show enclosed...
