Music In The Parks Closes Out A Great Summer Season

Arnold, CA...The Calaveras County Arts Council finished up a great summer series with a great mellow concert in Arnold's Cedar Center. Swing Gitane a Parisian Gypsy Quartet filled the center with great music. Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital was conducting a Mini-Health Fair and Screenings at the Concert as well. The Arts Council has really done a great job this year. They have had filled venue after filled venue as their rolling music show has moved from park to park. This year they kicked things off in June...

Copperopolis Business Association Members Know How to Have a Good Time!~By Al Segalla

Lake Tulloch, CA....The Copperopolis Business Association held their monthly meeting last week then headed to Lake Tulloch for their "Raft up!" Raft up" consists of 4 pontoon boats tied together, held by the Copperopolis Area Business Association (CABA). President Bill Troyanoski, of Saddle Creek Resort, officiated. New members introduced by Secretary Kyran Enzi were: Jan Hovey, Calaveras Enterprise; Judy Wilmot, Scenario Creations; and Maggie Rollings, Copperopolis School Volunteer. Enzi announced that membership in the business group has reached 91, a record breaking number for CABA . Next month's meeting will be hosted by Odie at the Old Corner Saloon in historic downtown Copperopolis.....

Each Quarter we try and spend a few minutes bringing you up to date on the Staffing, Development, Future Plans, Upcoming Events and more that will be happening at MTSJ. This quarter there have been some physician requirement wins and some providers have moved to new facilities. San Andreas, CA...The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors are back in action Tuesday morning, August 19th at 9am. Some of the items being discussed at the meeting will be A Minute Order authorizing the BOS to appoint Julia Costello, Mike Dell'Orto, Marcy Hosford, Chris Neber and Sue Smith as members to the Mokelumne Hill Design Review Committee; A Minute Order authorizing approval of shelter design for multiple bus shelters in Calaveras County; A Resolution approving an agreement between Calaveras County Behavioral Health Services and JDT Consultants for Therapeutic Behavioral Services for an amount not to exceed $75,000 for FY 08/09; A Minute order authorizing the Health Services Agency Director to sign an agreement with the CA. Dept of Health Service for $13,122.00 for Immunization Assistance Project services during the period of 7/1/08~6/20/09; A Resolution Item authorizing the Sheriff to enter into a contract with the CA Dept of Alcohol Beverage Control for Grant Funding; and a Public Hearing on the new jail; Flood Damage Control is also back on the agenda this week and the Study Session on Annual Review of County Fees that was rescheduled from last week due to the long discussion on Flood Ordinance will take place at 11am. Copperopolis, CA...The Square was overflowing with beautiful rolling works of art yesterday. Believe it or not this was second year in a row that the Hot Copper Car Show was held in the New Copperopolis Town Square. As you may recall last year's event was held just a few days after the asphalt was laid and some of the buildings were merely shells. The Town Square is now filling with businesses and is gradually becoming a real working town. The cars were exquisite and since everyone had invested so much time, money and energy in pampering these beautiful vehicles we thought the least we could do is take their pictures. Copperopolis, CA....The Square is hooping today as the new Copper Town Square is Hosting "Hot Copper Days" from 10am~8pm tonight. This day marks the 2nd Annual vintage car show sponsored by the Lake Tulloch Lions Club of Calaveras County. They will be awarding first and second place in 13 car classes, with judging taking place from 1 to 3 p.m. Also awarded will be “Best in Show” and the “Copperopolis Town Square Manager’s Award,” as selected by Billie B. Kane. “With its first phase completed and a host of new businesses open and flourishing, Copperopolis Town Square is a lively, ideal setting for local events and festivals,” says Kane, Director of Properties for Castle & Cooke...

Board of Supervisors Meeting Update.... Tulloch Townhomes Move Forward...Meeting Video Streaming Now!

San Andreas, CA....(Update...The whole meeting video for the morning and afternoon sessions was almost 8 hours. It has taken longer this week getting prepped that usual because of it's length) It's Tuesday so we are off to another rousing Board meeting that has become the norm lately in San Andreas. Public Comments were filled with a variety of topics including Lake Tulloch, The Ridge at Trinitas and many items. We are into the heart of the meeting now. Bob Sellman is discussing the Lake Tulloch project....We will have full video of the meeting up as soon as possible. Vista Del Lago Townhomes are a go. The number of slips to be reduced are from 40 to 30. Approved Public access must be worked out before permits are issued. (Update) Meeting Video is streaming now. Fast Forward and Rewind will work as soon as one pass through the video is completed.
