Copperopolis, CA...Please be advised Calaveras County Public Works has issued a complete road closure of Salt Spring Valley Road from 5170 Salt Spring Valley Road to 6293 Salt Spring Valley Road due to localized flooding. The road will be reopened as soon as possible. Please use local detour routes to avoid the impacted area.

Arnold, CA...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of snow accumulations of 1 to 3 feet expected with up to 6 feet at the higher mountain peaks. 2 to 8 inches of snow down to 4500 feet. Winds gusting as high as 85 mph.

Arnold, CA...The latest from the National Weather Service....Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 feet, locally up to 3 feet at mountain peaks. Southerly winds gusting as high as 65 mph. Snow levels of 6000 to 7000 feet on Wednesday, lowering to 4000 to 5000 feet on Thursday, and as low as 3500 feet by Friday morning. Heaviest snowfall accumulations expected above 6000 feet. Snow rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour, heaviest tonight into Thursday morning.

Copperopolis, CA...Rae Johnson May 19, 1938 ~ January 9, 2024 (age 85). Rae Johnson, 85 years old, passed away peacefully on January 9th at the Riverwood Healthcare Center in Stockton, California after a long battle with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
