Angels Camp & Copperopolis, CA...The Golf Club at Copper Valley and Greenhorn Creek Resort have created an event to showcase the Sierra Foothills golfing community. The Calaveras County Shootout is a 2-Day event for both Pro and Amateur golfers.

Copperopolis, CA...Traffic & Fire Update....Vehicle Fire Near Sr4 / Appaloosa Way. Fire is now extinguished but the full wildland fire dispatch was ordered as per usual during the summer. This includes all aircraft from Columbia and a huge list of land resources. These have all been canceled at this time.

Copperopolis, CA...Come celebrate in the Town Square on Sunday, July 2nd with live music, food, drinks, water slides and more! If county permits, we will have fireworks! Water slide wrist bands are $10 for the day. We will have the war balloon bundles for 10 each or 3 for $20.

The Heat is On as NWS Issues Excessive Heat Warning for Lower Elevations |

Arnold, CA...An Excessive Heat Warning has been issued for lower elevations from 11am Friday to 11pm on Sunday. Typically in our area you will see a 20 - 25 degree temperature difference from the high country to the Hwy 49 corridor.

Whittle Vegetation Management Program Prescribed Burn on June 28 |

Angels Camp & Copperopolis, CA...The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) will conduct a prescribed burn on the Whittle Vegetation Management Program (VMP) site in Calaveras County on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. The primary purpose of the prescribed burn is to reduce hazardous fuel around Fowler Peak Lookout, communication towers, and surrounding infrastructure located on top of the Bear Mountain Range, just East of Copperopolis and West of Angels Camp.

Angels-Murphys Rotary Celebrates Honors Students with BBQ |

Murphys – The Angels-Murphys Rotary Club treated high-achieving students from Bret Harte Union High School District to a bar-be-que and award ceremony on Thursday, May 25. The event, held at Murphys Community Park, celebrated the accomplishments of students who earned a 4.0 or greater GPA during the last semester. Nearly 80 honors students along with a handful of parents and school administrators met with the Angels-Murphys Rotarians to highlight the students’ achievements.
