San Andreas, CA...(Update...There has been a special meeting added after 2pm to Adopt a Resolution authorizing changes to the Crime Scene Specialist/Property Room Specialist job description.) The Calaveras County Board Of Supervisors is holding a regular meeting on Tuesday, March 28th at 8:00 am. On the agenda is the adoption of a resolution continuing a local state of emergency for the removal of hazardous trees caused by the Butte Fire with the imminent threat of severe winter weather.

Calaveras Recovers Is In Need Of Storage

San Andreas, CA...In just a few days we need to decide WHERE to move the remaining supplies of home furnishings for over a dozen survivors of the Butte Fire who's homes are yet unfinished. These "House-In-A-Box" supplies need to be stored for up to six months (we'll be done with distribution before September, and some HIABs are already distributed) at more than 1,000 square feet. More information is available at our monthly Team meeting (April 3rd).

San Andreas, CA...Ida Frances Davis-Vietor passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the age of 80. To her family and friends she was best known as Mom, Grandma Vietor, GG, Auntie Fran, Fran. She is survived by her children: Alvin Knackstedt and wife Vickie, Kevin Vietor and fiancé Kelly, Rich Vietor and wife Tracy, and Traci Cottle and husband Dave. Her grandchildren, Liz and husband Mike, Alvin Jr and wife Christina, Bryce and wife Rebecca, Heather and husband Steve, Kylie and fiancé Alan, Austin, Wyatt, Jessica and husband Jomoore, Dave Jr. and wife Catrina, Christopher and wife Holly, and William. Her great grand-children: Michael, Alexander, Brianna, Makayla, Rylee, Jordan, Kobe, Erin, Alexis, Maxwell, and April. She is preceded in death by Husband Edward Vietor.

San Andreas, CA...(Forum Has Been Canceled As Measure B Has Been Pulled) The Calaveras County Democratic Central Committee (CCDCC) is hosting a forum regarding Measure B, the voter initiated initiative-measure that seeks to prohibit the cultivation, manufacturing, processing, and delivery of marijuana for all purposes within all unincorporated parts of Calaveras County, including a ban on the operation of marijuana dispensaries. The forum will take place on Tuesday, March 28th at 6:30 p.m. at The San Andreas Town Hall.
